Its been a while but heres a small teaser of the tube front I'm building. 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM tubing. its all going to tie into a 6 point cage inside when I'm done.

Pretty sweet build. I went thru the entire thread a few weeks ago and was wondering if you finished.

I guess this update answers your question..lol I'm a long way from finished. I think I have decided to fab my own turbo manifold since now I have all the equipment to do so. The possibilities at this point are endless so I guess whenever I can get myself to stop thinking of new ideas I can call it "finished".

Projects looking good, what are you planning on doing for traction? And as always more pictures!

some really big slicks to start out then maybe look into the AWD conversion.

So the reason that ive had so few updates lately is because I have been working on opening a performance fabrication & repair shop out at Willow Springs International Raceway. Been open a few months now but we havent actually had our grand opening. Anyone is welcome to come check us out or just stop by to say hello!

Here is a link with some pictures.

Update!

I decided to put in a little work on the lancer in the last few days. Finished up a lot of the tube chassis front end. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.

Yes I do sell ten as well as build them. Something like this tube chassis front would run between $1000-$1500. I also build full roll cages, build performance engines and do body modification. I just got my resale license as well so I plan on becoming a licensed dealer of aftermarket performance parts. Give me a call if you have any questions. 661-609-4386

nice build but a little FYI

the sonata head combustion chamber measures out to 45cc unlike the false information available around the internet claiming it was measured to be 55cc which would lower the compression as you have previously stated. both the heads i own came out to exactly 45cc and used that calculate my desired CR on my build.

as far as using stock cam gears, u r about a half a tooth or so off, it will not line up perfectly due to the change in deck height so an adjustable cam gear will get u dead on while stock gears will be off a bit.

heres my first start-up video with the sonata head and fully built bottom end.

this link has all the engine specs.

Thanks for the info. So essentially what your saying is that I'll be running 9:1 compression ratio because the heads are both 45cc? I am completely ok with that as it just means I will be able to make more power on less boost. I guess I should have measured the heads cc's! Lol and thanks for the heads up about the cam gears, I was already aware of that and the stock Evo cam gears were only for mock up an the initial start up. I definitely plan on getting adjustable cam gears before running the car on the track. 👍🏻
