Well I've been working 16+ hours a day, every day for a week and I haven't had the time to post anything. I just ordered an inline fuel pump so I'm waiting on that to come in before I can do anything else with my car. So far everything is working fine.

I've gotta take my up pipe and have the front O2 sensor mounted in it because having the O2 sensor in my down pipe is giving a slow response code since it's so far away from the manifold. That is why my idle is so bad. After that I'm going to install the booster pump and the Digital FMU to control it.

I also found a very small oil leak on the drain flange of the turbo so while I have it off I'm gonna fix that as well.

UPDATE TIME!!!!

Instead of mounting the O2 sensor in my up pipe I decided to figure out a way to put it back in its stock position. I disassembled the turbo compressor housing from the exhaust housing and clocked it to where the outlet was facing upward and it would clear the O2 sensor. (I was unaware of how to clock the compressor housing until a few days ago)

If you've never clocked a turbo before I'll let you in on a little secret...SNAP RINGS ARE A *****!!! Right now I'm still in the process of reassembing the turbo and the exhaust piping connected to it. Tomorrow I will be installing the booster pump and the Digital FMU.

I was putting the very LAST bolt on which went to the wastegate actuator and the ****ing thing broke off in the turbo housing!!!!! My dad is going to take it to work with him tomorrow and drill it out. Damn...gotta wait longer.

Ok I got my wastegate mount holes retapped, but it isn't holding the exhaust door shut all the way and it's leaking. I'll just have to drill another hole in the actuator arm closer to the turbo so it will hold it shut. I'm going to fix that today when I get home from work. I can hold it shut with a screw driver and it idles fine, so that should be my only issue now.

Oh yeah and my SRS light went out on its own.

I think either my o2 sensor is bad or I need a new honeycomb for my MAF. (It has some dings in it.) My car is still stalling. Once I get going it's fine but when I push in the clutch the RPM's dip way down to about 400 and half the time it will stall. And if it's just idling it will try to stall but always picks back up. My a/f gauge stays all the way on lean the entire time I drive except when I lift off on the gas it will bounce to rich and back to full lean and won't budge. Even at 80% throttle (which I only tried once just to see) same thing. (And by full lean I mean the left most LED on the gauge.) Please help!

The codes it was throwing - PO133 (O2 Sensor slow response) PO171 (System too lean) and this was when I had the 255lph fuel pump installed and was running a 1/4 tank of gas out just going to town (10 miles).

Is it possible you might be too lean at idle?

It's possible, but even when I had the 255lph pump in it did the same thing and I know it wasn't lean then.

Is that a requirement when turbocharging a lancer?

No but if you are leaning out at idle, you might need to adjust the screw to try to regulate the idle. Something has to be wrong to cause you to lean out... wish i was there to help you out in person, much easier. :-(
