2004 Lancer OZ Turbo Project
I had a couple of problems with the fitment of the up/down pipes, but I resolved them. I had to bend the dip-stick back a little for the down pipe to fit. And the up/down pipes are so close they kept getting in each others way, but I finally got them in. Took about 2 hours to get them bolted on and after that all I had to do is mount the turbo on which took like 10 minutes.
looks killer...u sure that's not too big? i haven't read the rest of this post but i know that putting too big of an intercooler could result in loss of power because of too much flow restriction. somethin that looks that good might be worth it anyways though, haha. nice.
Ok the rain finally let up and I got my O2 sensor relocated into my downpipe and I got my upper oil pan off. I'm about to go to my grandparents house and tap it for the return line.
It isn't supposed to rain again until Saturday so I'm hoping I can get everything done and I won't have to fabricate anything else. I heard autozone carries a type of MAF adapter so I'm gonna go see what they have before I try to make one.
If my custom MAF adapter doesn't work out I will surely hit up one of the people that offered me one of theirs.

blows...cold as hell here in southern cali...well cold by our standards anyways...not raining...glad the project's still under way though. my buddy just got his turbo kit in the mail the other day and his folks are out of town until next week...so excited to install that **** this weekend
Ok I've mounted my additional injectors into the intercooler piping before the throttle body and fabricated a custom MAF adapter. I'm gonna take my oil pan to my dad's work tomorrow and use the machine shop at his work to tap it. After that I should be able to just bolt everything right up.
I made the adapter out of a piece of 1/4" thick plexi-glass and an intake hose adapter I got at Autozone. I used some liquid welding glue to adhere them. I'll post some pics when I get a chance.
