Rippmods will be doing a stage 3, but they do not know when. My brother and I have been talking to Ross @ RIPP and he happens to be busy right now due to many customers are coming in to install thier SDS system and doing a stage 3 upgrade to thier in house TIBBY...

Soon as my brother's car does the tranny swap or BlazinOZ drops of his car off to ripp for the upgrade then I'll post about the stage 3. Your best bet is to call and contact ROSS directly as he can answer all your questions

(718)-442-4723 ext. 10

being busy with customers it becomes hard to hit the internet to answer all the questions...even with my job, when we get busy and we have to make sure all our cars are ready for delievery and paperwork, it becomes hard for me to answer all my customers questions

hey zoo... do you have a copy of your dyno or the original one done on blaze's car?? i want to overlay the rrm one over it and make a post showing the difference in the lower rpms.

I'm not starting anything here just asking. seems no one has dyno's and since you were the tester car i thought you may have kept yours. the only one i could find was a picture taken of the screen for blazens car. it's not the greatest though so i'd like a scanned copy of the printed version.

Thanks.

boe, at the time when blazenoz's car was dynoed the printer at the dyno was not working. actually i just spoke to ross about this and he will be contacting the guys at the dyno to see if they have it on file.. but Ross does have the dyno sheet for the stage 1 sds kit runnin about 181whp i believe. the auto still has not been dynoed and will be very soon. there no need to overlapp the 2 dynos. Ripp isn't looking for the most powerful kit, there more about reliability with some big power. thx

Actually it seems that Boe is more interested in the power curves than the max power. Actually so am i. I would like to see when the SDS starts to build power vs the turbo kit. It is probably a lot fatter curve.

a lot of people would and that is what i'm looking for as well.

There are advantages in having a slightly weaker lower rpm power band... especially in the launch and 2nd gear changes. A good driver though can use all the power he/she can get. It's really about the driver and what they like. The overlap would give them a great idea of what both offer and how they differ.

There would be no confussion about which did what where or which was more effective in what areas. Instead it would give a great comparison and would be highly valued by most looking to go SC or Turbo. Hell it could even show the posibilities of custom applications.

If you have copies or can direct me to a post with one i'd appriciate it. If it's the stage 1 ripp kit on a 5speed i'll match it to a non-ic rrm kit 5speed. I think that is fair... for stage 2 ripp kit i'll dig up an average 5speed intercooled rrm kit(non-stage 2). They are more fairly matched than the stage 2 rrm kit in both price and power. Keep an eye out guys and hope you have a good pull zoo... you'll be a 5 speed instead of auto right?
