yeah from what ripp told me there are about 6 kits out there total for the lancer. the only problem is that only nexgeneration and I (well i did anyway....) have the kit, and post on this site. like nextgeneration said he's getting ready for a 5 speed conversion (i know, since i'm helping him get some parts together), and i never got the chance to take it to the track (closed for the season...winter) or dyno it (i was actually getting ready to before the incident happened). all the other kits/customers arent registered on this site, from what i've seen. so thats the only bad thing.

there is a dyno. for a 5spd 222whp at 218trq at 9lbs i believe. it hink now u can run 11lbs with the 5spd. u need headers to run the ripp kit so those numbers r with kamikaze headers

yeah but those are RIPP's dyno's that have not been backed up. I think Mitsu03 is looking for a customer to back up the results. It's hard to believe a vendor when it comes to putting 4g's down on something. I prefer to see customers getting results first before i jump into an investment.

You should see if RIPP will sponsor on some independant dyno's on your rides. I think that is what is holding them back bigtime. Seems like their customer support wasn't there. Back in the day my dyno's were done in San Diego... about 1.5hr's from my sponsors shop. I never paid for any... my sponsor paypaled me the cash. Hell i never paid for my track time either... that was sponsored. It does a world of good to sponsor a few guys to get some customer feedback on here.

I'm not bashing RIPP i'm just suggesting they help out to get some real numbers out there from the customers that are on this site. A while back people were all over the RIPP kit... then some things got heated up and RIPP dropped things to work on the Tiburon instead due to lack of support. That hurt their customer relations on here big time!! Not to mention a couple other issues that came up... they seriously needed to step up not back out.

Nextgen/.L... you guys should twist their arms a little and get some dyno's/track times put up.

those numbers r set in stone boe... i think it might be bigvinx or something or who ever. he drives the yellow on thats on the banner add of the RIPP Sds advertisement. i believe RIPP did pay for his dyno as well. its just some of the people who have the sds kit or the 6 that .L. had mentioned just arn't on the boards thats all

ive talked to ross aobut dynoing my car(auto) but now that i'm converting to 5spd and reallt don't have the time to par out my car for a day, ross is willing to dyno it its just i can't yet

ROSS should not be dynoing it... an independant dyno means at another shop not associated with the company producing the kit. This will show an unbiased and accurate dyno. He should pay for it though.

As for being set in stone... the dyno your talking about was done by RIPP not an independant. It is also the only one done to date.

I'll say this again... take the cars to an independant not affiliated with RIPP. Then post the results. Also take the car to the track with some other site members to verify the run. Post the slip. There have been NO slips posted and NO independant dyno's either. Get these discrepancies fixed and there will be more customers guaranteed!

independant dyno? wuts the difference. its actually Ross's freind who owns the dyno and Ur welcome to watch the dyno runs. again the pple who have the sds kits usually not posting on these boards. only .L. and I r the only sds owners to date that post here.
.L. was about to get ready for his independent dyno and when warm weather comes he wanted to go to the track but unfortuantly he got into an accident.

are you not comprehending what i'm saying?? Do i need to write slower for you?? Having a dyno done at an affiliated shop is fine for a kit's advertised hp/tq. The only way to trully believe their ADVERTISEMENT is to have it backed by independant sources not affiliated with the vendor. These are more believable. Vendors will lie, cheat, and steal your money if your not careful. Some you meet are honest but in the end they are looking to make money off the customer. For the customer to feel comfortable he/she needs the unbiased truth plain and simple.

Why do you think so many magazines do their own comparisons of the same vehicle... this is how consumers can base their decisions in good conscience.

IS ANY of this sinking in for you... I know your a RIPP supporter and that's fine. I'm not bashing them just trying to assist them in getting more customers. In my eyes the day they turned thier back on the lancer to invest more time in the tiburon closed the door for me. I recommend them highly on the eclipses and galants that have the V-6's. Also on the celica's... I've installed a few of their kits on eclipses and know their in's and out's personally. Their marketing is killing them and this is what i'm stating. You getting all bent about it drops your credit down since i'm just pointing out a well known fact in hopes RIPP/yourself/any SC Lancer owner will come forward and get some independant info posted.

Back off me a little will you... i'm not the bad guy here. I'm just trying to help everybody out. I feel like your starting to attack me for some reason.

Hate leaves a black spot on your heart forever... can't we all just get along?

back off what? every sc vs turbo threads that i state my opion ur jumping on my case about RIPP. i'm attackin u its the oppoiste kid.. "Do i need to write slower for you" wtf u tryin to say man. ive talked to Ripp about there products with lancers, just not enough supporters out there. i plan to do more with RIPP on the lancer its just lack of time and money right now. I can find every thread that u bash on me and the SDS kit, if u want me to take the time i will find them for u. "You getting all bent about it drops your credit down since i'm just pointing out a well known fact in hopes RIPP/yourself/any SC Lancer owner will come forward and get some independant info posted" i guess this aint sinkin in ur head either the peiple with the sds kits rn't regular on da forums as u and i. like stated above .L. was ready to do all the testing himself. the only one being attacked here is me, suppose ur right! u should write a lil slower for me since i'm a ****in dumb ***! help me out here boe

its just if i dyno thru Ross it will be covered. but i will be there so its a "independent dyno" to back up ripp's product.

would a mod please close this thread, if anyone has any questions please feel free to pm me or IM me on aim which most of you guys who r interested in Ripp's product r doing. thx

I will slow down for you ok.
HA... if you go to ROSS to dyno then you are not at an independant dyno.

Guess the idea of independant sources should be stated as a dyno not affiliated with RIPP... owe wait i said that as well.

How's this...
Go to someone else to dyno your kit. RIPP should be willing to pay for that to ensure an unbiased dyno representation of his kit.

Did that explain it well enough? What's the big problem here? All i've said is to get some dyno's/time slips up from other than RIPP shops or RIPP affiliates. Not much to ask and it would mean a lot to other would-be-customers.

If you feel attacked i appologise but if you read i'm just stating the same thing again and again and again... your just not getting it.

Sorry i can't help those who's mind is clouded by anger and hate. God is with you always brother and you are always special in his eyes no matter what!

thats not a random number. like i said before. i think the user is bigvinx. he drives the yellow oz. those r his numbers but its "thru ripp" sry that no one has "independent numbers" because only 2 of the 6 sds owners are really on this board which is just me and .L.

hey boe lets just help everyone here on da boards. how about you pay for my dyno run and the hrs i loose at work so i can have a free day to dyno. so this would not affilate wit Ripp. I'm just angry because of the remark u made sayin sayin should i say this slower. i'm insulted
