My mods: SRI, ///RRM Header, Catback exhaust. auto.

After installing my piggyback and going through the learning process i took it for a nice hard drive. My car PULLS HARD. harder than before. The piggy back makes a HUGE difference even with I/H/E. i got some low end torque back that i lost from my header and then some. from zero to WOT the car is a completely different animal. before the piggy my car used to jump up in acceleration at 3k rpms, then a bit more at 4.5k to redline. now my car pulls HARDER and SMOOTHER, LONGER! The powerband is definately Girthier. i don't have to dip in to the throttle as much now while carrying extra weight or going up hills. I'ts also way more responsive. as soon as i put my foot down i can feel the car start to accelerate. before i had to wait til about 3k rpms til it really started moving, now it goes at just about any rpm. Freeway acceleration is also improved. my car has a nice healthy pull when i floor it will cruising at 75mph.

Props to ///RRM for improving an already great product. this mod is well worth it. when they say that this is the best mod u can do short of F/I they aren't lying. The piggyback seemed to add as much power as the I/H/E combined. its really that big of a difference. for an auto this car can really get up and go. i recommend this mod to everyone!!!

Thanx to Rock and Gabe at ///RRM for the install!!!

Well guys, I got mine re-flashed.
Good news:
The rough idle & CEL are gone. Great!
Bad News:
The performance I had before the re-flash is gone!
Before the reflash, I was enjoying everything Twisty mentioned, now its flat.
I will relearn it one more time & recheck my connections. But at this point, the car is not performing anywhere near what it was before the re-flash...

Rock: Do I have to resend it to get it reflashed again?

something can't be right... the reflash changed nothing in the tune it was in the parameter settings.

The tune remained the same...

Soon I'll be getting on a dyno and we'll be able to put to rest this whole issue of how much the piggy is really improving the performance. I'm excited

No offense but,

Here are the differences before & after reflash...

1. It doesn't launch as quick as before - there used to be a burst of speed starting @ 2000 - 2500 RPM range, now it kicks in after 3000 RPM

2. It doesn't feel like it stays in each gear longer before it shifts - It used to go almost to redline before it shifted

3. acceleration from 65 - 85 isn't there anymore, like when passing on the hw - It used to take off like a rocket...

Granted, I do notice some performance gain, but not what I used to have before the reflash, I think I'm suffering from pb performance withdrawl...

If you remember, my ONLY complaint was the rough idle, The rest was awesome...

no offense taken but after looking at both maps side by side there have been no adjustments to the tune at all...

I just want to let the powers that be know what I noticed. Also note, that just like me, twisty & drucea had awesome results, with the only drawback being the lumpy idle.

I have yet to hear from either after the reflash. All three of us are auto, all three of us noted the great performance increase before the reflash. What I have now is not the same performance.

Were we really suppossed to get such a performance increase in the first place?Could it be that the lumpy idle contributed positivly to the performance? I just hope we can achieve the same (or better if possible) performance like I had before the reflash - It was totally noticable...

More to come on that. As for reinstall without instructions, do not do that. I told everyone to keep instructions! I did, I did! Call tomorrow someone can fax or email you a new copy.

that is why RRM is working on it. Just be patient. Twisty already said that the only problems he's had was the lumpy idle, but its gone because of the reflash, but right now the 02-03 guys are experiencing other probs but not the 04 guys. That is why akasirlancerlot as he said himself is being the guinea pig for RRM to fix this problem for you guys, but its gonna take time.

i had the reflash done on my piggy and the performance is the same but the lumpy idle is gone. now my idle is rock solid, and it runs just as strong. i think u may think it is slower because the power comes on even smoother without the lumpy idle. the car pulls just as hard but since its smoother, maybe it doesn't seem as dramatic. hmm either way its still pulls way better than wothout the piggy. maybe u should have just kept it non reflashed and live with the idle. akasirlancelot has a lil lumpy idle but he's all smiles

Trust me twisty, the power just isn't there for those of us with on 02 or 03. The reprogramming seems to have fixed things for those of you with an 04 or 05 though it messed things up for the 02 and 03.

akasirlancelot is happy right now because his box is running a different program while he tests things for RRM. I believe they have a few different cars they're testing things on and hopefully we'll have it all worked out this week.
