just a suggestion...
couldn't you dyno your car now with the mods you currently have on your ride? ... then once you get the piggy all learned up/connected properly, then do another dyno?

I dunno if shops would let you do 1 run now and another later unless you were cool with them .

just a thought.

They sure will let you do that for another charge... if you pay twice you can do it!

Dyno's make their money by getting you on there and off there as fast as possible. Longest thing about them is usually strapping you down. The pull is over in seconds.

Well, I have to admit that I am a little dissapointed and frustrated.

I received the piggy back from them on Monday and installed it on Tuesday. I originally used all quick connects on the wires. After doing everything you do to learn the piggy (this is like my 10th time doing it) the idle problem was gone as well as the backfiring, but now I have a new more annoying/not so good problem. When revving the engine up during accelarations, right when I shift the engine seems to pause - it shakes like hell then goes on. Its like the fuel cuts out for a second. It is annoying as hell and doesnt' feel good at all. I thought that maybe I had a bad wire connection, so yesterday I redid everything soldering the wires and then testing the connections with a digital multimeter. Resistance across the connections was below 1 Ohm. Needless to say, thats a good connection. Anyway, after relearning it, I still have the same problem. This is very frustrating. When driving it like a grandma (shifts below 3000 RPM) the car/engine is very smooth. I can feel more pep above 2000 RPM and the idle is still great. But once you start pushing it, letting the car rev up to 3500+ RPMs for shifts, that crappy stutter, shaking happens.

Rock or Boe - what could possibly be causing this? It didn't do this before I sent it in to get reflashed. Is there another parameter that has accidentally been misentered or what not? Is another reflash in order? Does the car need more learning? I need some ideas.

If another reflash is in order, I wonder if it would be possible to just get the software from you guys to do it myself. I don't like having to send the piggy in and pay the shipping everytime as well as the wait I have to go through to get it back. Having the software would eliminate all that and I could troubleshoot it myself. Anyway, any feedback would be appreciated.

I want to dyno it, but can't until this is resolved.

everyone wants the software... the answer will be the same time and time again.

There should be no reason your piggy is doing that. PM or Call and talk to Rob/Rock personally about it.

That "delay" as I refer to it is what people were experiencing with VER 1. PB Maybe you got some software mixed in from the Old one.

That had better not be the case. I'll call RRM tomorrow and talk to Rob.

Sorry I didn't call Saturday. I figured I'd better do all my part first by soldering the connections, checking the resistance, and relearning it to make sure I didn't miss anything and then call and sound like a dumb a** I'll be calling tomorrow. What time would be best to call at? 3pm your time again? Let me know.

anybody else with this shaking? i think your the only one.
so far the worst problem i've had with mine was the lumpy idle, which was tolerable, but thats been gone since i got the new reflash.

Rob, the box is on it's way and you should have it Thursday, including a write-up on the installs and the observed results (my fiancee said it looked like I was writing a novel )

Let me know if you need any additional info.

Can I send back my piggyback and have you guys reflash it...I am running into the same problems as Z Lancer. I know its not my connections because just like him I am in school for EE and I know my way around electronics. I think its a flash issue. I have a CEL and a bad idle. Ive even driven probably 2k on it with the bad idle thinking it may go away. The Cel goes off and on and is always the random missfire code.

Can I get a reflash?

^^ Have you sent it in once yet? They did do a recall on the V.2 piggybacks to fix some initial settings. If you haven't sent it in yet, go ahead and do it. They usually ship it back out the same day. The reflash fixed the idle and backfiring problems.
