will build a webpage with all of our maps even experimental ones. once you have the software you can install at your own risk. just don't put an N/A map on a turbo car!

Ok, new update for my PB. After reading several additional messages I started to think that maybe on the last install I didn't leave the battery disconnected long enough (I've gotten pretty good at installing this thing ).

So, last Monday when I got to work I disconnected the battery intending to come back out at lunch, reconnect the battery, and do the initial learn phase. Instead, we had a group lunch thing I'd forgotten about, and had a meeting at the end of the day, so it ended being about 11 hours that the battery was disconnected. Ran the car through the initial learn process and then headed home (a little over 50 miles).

I now have over 500 miles on the car since that reset and no CEL (I'm sure I just jinxed myself ) The idle is still rough at times, but not so bad I can't live with it. I also haven't noticed the hesitation problems from before, but traffic has been a lot lighter the last couple weeks.

Sure enough, the above post jinxed me. Got a CEL right after leaving work yesterday with 555 miles since the last reset. I was already planning to stop at the store so I pulled the code (the random misfire we all know and love) and reset the ECU. Had to laugh at it. Car decided to throw another CEL about 21 miles later just before I got home. Still running good though and resetting the ECU since I bought my own code scanner.

I'll look up the word neophyte and answer later

Neophyte:
  1. A recent convert to a belief; a proselyte.
  2. A beginner or novice: a neophyte at politics.
So the answer would be: Yes and No

The piggyback can be used as a plug and drive device since RRM provides a well tuned map. > This would be for the neophyte

The piggyback can also be tuned to your specific car allowing you to squize a few more HP out of it. > This would not be for the neophyte

It should not. The piggyback make the car run leaner at WOT. If it would make it run richer you'd probably have issue with emission, but since it's making it leaner... It shouldn't.

That is correct. Regardless, you can leave it in and just reconnect the one wire you cut and it is uninstalled. Take you a cool minute to disconnect for emissions test if you are worried.

Hey guys been away for a while...
Scorp read your most recent review... so both the rough idle & CEL still remain? I don't know about you guys, but I'm guessing the thing to do here is keep the PB1 in (no CEL or rough idle) and sell the PB2. I'm up for inspection here in Jersey and having the CEL light on for ANY reason is automatic failure...

Just for the hell of it, what is needed to program these things ourselves, we can do that now right?
