***ECUFlash Now For Base Lancers!***

Z Lancer Man,
Thanks for pursuing this and following through with it. The lancer community appreciates your invested interest, and this should really pay off well to both the people who provide the software and cables.
From what you've looked into and gathered so far, how hard is the software going to be to tune?

This software is incredibly easy to tune with. Just pick a cell value to change, change it, upload it to the ECU and viola, done. However, as with any tuning, you must have a means to datalog so you can see what exactly your car is doing. That is where EVOScan comes in. You can read all about that here: http://www.limitless.co.nz/EvoScan/ It used to only cost $15 for the download, but I think it was upped to $35. Still a great deal on a full datalogger. Future releases will also support all major widebands (Zeitronix, AEM UEGO, LM1/LC1). However, ECUFlash, which is free (open source) is also going to start being able to log as well in future releases. I've been studying all about knock and how to reduce it (since I'm getting knock) in preparation to start tuning my car. I'm hoping to release between 30 and 40 HP just in a good tune with my current setup. Stay tuned

Sure thing
I'm hoping to get those in after I can get this first stage tuned. Final release date should be soon. I have 3 people currently looking over the definitions to verify everything is right before I go in and start changing things (kind of scary!).
ALSO, BE SURE TO ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR CURRENT/STOCK/OEM FLASH! If you inadvertently change something, or you get it all messed up, you can always start over. Just a little advice for future reference!
z lancer

ECUFlash can pull off your stock ROM. Your ROM contains all the factory parameters and "look up tables" used in tuning your engine. Once you pull that off your ECU, you can just save it to your hard drive.

Just want to know because it is "EVO"scan; not LANCERscan. The site says i will support the 2003 Lancer OZ; not Lancer ES, LS, and RALLIART. Right below that is says it will support "1996+ Mitsubishi OBDII Vehicles". A wee-bit confusing to me.
Z:Have you used this tool already?

This will help every setup. Even if you are stock, this will help. All our cars come from the factory detuned. They run really rich at the top end, so lean it out some and viola , more power. Hopefully I can get the def. file to you all today or tomorrow!
