Yes it's worth it... it's like getting PB.

 

I called DynoFlash and talked to Al, who wasn't very friendly on the phone and told me we'll get it sometime. Honestly, I don't think they care much about us base Lancers and they have more than enough business dealing with just EVOs. I wouldn't wait for it or expect it anytime in the near future. If, and I seriously mean if, it's ever released, then we can get all excited about it, but I'm not holding my breath anymore.

Now, that said, I'm thinking about having a local tuner, who does a very good job I hear, tune my car using ECUFlash. Once that's done, this could provide a base for all others with similar setups. However, unline an "E-Flash" for $50, this would be a custom tune and cost $$$ ($150/hour or so). If someone was willing to go in with me on this, then that would help reduce the cost and we could both benefit. Obivously, in order to share the flash, we'd have to have the tuner/shop's permission This was just an idea I've toyed with.

Yup! Only this is way cheaper ($90 for the cable, $0.00 for the software ) and you have waaaaaay more freedom in what to change.

Also, I thought I'd give a little update. Here is what my stock "High Octane Fuel Map" looks like and below is the a modified, "tuned" map. I'm going to try it out later and log it and see how it feels

is there any way you can send me the lancer rom file so i could look at how ecuflash works before getting the cable? i'm interested in what other behaviors this software could tell me about the ecu.

wow. that looks pretty simple...

 

depending on how close u are to getting a tune...you might want to wait...if i can get a copy so i can pull of my ROMs im sure i could tune it myslef for the stock injector guys....then when i get my WRX injectors then do another tune... I have a PLX wideband (no cats) and Greedy EGT to tune with....and i have 2 friends who have street tuned there Subies w/ aftermarkets turbos on LinkECUs(standalones) that would be more than willing to help...

wow so all i'd have to get is that cable?!!!! i have a local tuner here in vegas that's ready to tune my car supposedly he said mitsu's are real easy for him. i'll ask him what he uses to tune and see if he cane tune my car with this.

 

we dont need AL to tune our cars....we can do it ourslefs....and have you talked to RRM on possibly doing somthing for us?? i talk to Rob a lot and he knows who i am....so if u rather me ask i can do so

 

its goin to be kinda hard for rrm to do something since basically its a free program and every car has a different setup i just catn wait to tune my custom turbo kit z lancer any word on a date should i be orderin this cable this weekend or we waiting a couple more months cool **** man
