Runs on regular octane! Mileage increase seems to be around 5-10% better mileage and about the same percentage for power increase! The BEST SELLER product for Lancer, bar none. Really been a great word of mouth endorsed product.

I purchased the rrm piggyback from someone locally off this forum and installed it. I have had some problems with idle drop when parking, sometimes the car will shut off, but only when parking. I am going to have mine adjusted with cd to optimize it for the mods i have. Since the install I hve noticed much gain in the mid range power as well as a gain of avg 50-60 miles per tank. Not huge but makes a difference, also note I am probably harder on the gas pedal now, so possible more fuel gaincould be achieved. All in all I am very happy with the piggyback ecu. On a side note I spoke with one person at rrm, not sure of name, when i was having some initial problems and was dissapointed in the lack of help i was given. I was treated porely because I had purchased the unit from a previous owner not from rrm.

Glad you are happy. When someone has a used part it is VERY hard for us to do anything for you. People change maps, no instructions etc..... Hard to diagnose over the phone. We know that and that is why it is best to buy new to make sure any variables are cancelled out. Otherwise we service what we sell better than anyone else on these boards. That is for sure.

Our turbo piggies do allow to retard timing. IF that is what you are needing then call in and I am sure we can get just the right one for your application too. Thanks
