RRM Piggy Back ECU - Question
it says cut the blue wire and not saying which blue one there is since there is TWO diff. color blue ones. ive figured out y i screwed up. i soldered the purple and green wire to the wrong ends of the maf wire.

And I quote again....
I am looking at the directions right now. It specifically states "Cut blue MAF signal wire leading to pin 87". Does it say light blue? NO!! Not only that they have picture of the 2 pin harness that you splice into and it shows you which one is pin 87!!! Just admit that you are an idiot that can't read directions and quick to blame others for your failures in life....
Geez, no wonder you guys have Hilary as your Senator....
I was the original tester for the piggy and found the directions crystal clear. In the directions it shows which pin on the harness that you have to splice into.
My guess is that you switched the green and purple wires. You do cut the dark blue wire in two. You then wire the green wire from the piggy to the MAF side of the blue wire. Then wire the purple wire from the piggy to the ECU side of the blue wire.

hurray. my piggy works now. i switched up the purple and green wire, which i did thought was the prob. before. hopefully solder will hold up plus i taped it up with electrical tape so hopefully everything goes well.
i notice a lil more tourqe than before, really havent seen mpg's yet since its only been in my car for 2 days.
and as for the pretuning it, not yet, havent had time for it, been working so much. eventually i will and ill update you guys when i do.

Just for your info, electrical tape is worse than just leaving it hanging in the open. It traps moisture and corrodes. Please use shrink tube or di-electric grease to prevent green wires.
How hows the mod been now? I have a 08 GTS w/Trips, and im looking to mod it soon. I know it'll be worth it with other mods but is it doing its job since you had it?
