ok yea i was wondering if the were supposed to be .xml or be .hex , .biz since it isnt finding them and yea i did extract them to the location you stated and had them overright and when i tell it to open rom it was looking in ecu flash and i went to and found the folder that i extracted them into and it doesnt find anything so im stumped
You need to extract your ROM using EcuFlash.
Ok, I think you're confused on how EcuFlash works. The definition files are what are used to decode your ECU's ROM. This is what is inside the .zip file. When you tell EcuFlash to open a ROM, it is referring to the ROM file you've pulled from your car's ECU and saved to your computer. ROM files are in either .hex or .bin format, since it is an image file.

UPDATE... (08-30-2009)
All definition files have been updated so that they now only work with the newest versions of EcuFlash. These definition files will NOT work with v1.29a or prior. Please update EcuFlash to the newest version available to use these definition files.

I re-upped the definition collection with the corrected endian values for 86640015. The auto/manual entries in the definition files are merely cosmetic for cataloging purposes. Tell me what year/trim/trans and ROM ID you have and I'll make the change to the master definition list.
