load ecuflash and see if it can read your ROM, if it cant then your ROM has not been defined yet

They are supposed to be XML. These are the definition files that translate the ROM data ... not actual ROMs for download.

Alright. This is my first time using ecuflash or evoscan. I've got a 2003 Lancer OZ Rally Edition, evoscan works great. but I can't get a definition for my car. i can save my rom info but cant view it or anything. All i want to do is change my rev limiter because the guy that owned the car before me set it at 5k.

Have you tried downloading the master definition list from this thread? What is your ROM ID? Send me a copy of your ROM if none of the existing definition files work.

Ummm...

Dude your ECU uses the most common definition there file there is - 81900006

***Important historical fact - the 81900006 definition file was the very first one defined for the Lancer ECU. We raise our glasses to Z_Lancer_man, for it was his efforts that started it all...

I opened your ROM in EcuFlash and was able to read every table perfectly. As long as you followed the directions on copying the master definition list in the first post you should have no problem reading your ROM. See the attachment.
