Using a different tactrix cable since my other 1.3u broke Im running 1.42 and tried 1.41 nadda zip dont work and its pissing me off

Downloaded senates master definition list with my definition included 2002 lancer OZ auto
and still get this:
"Unknown ROM image; EcuFlash could not recognize this ROM image using any of your current definitions." asks me to define my own or save it without viewing it which is pointless

I never had an issue with my old 1.3U cable , any ideas, it seems these cables are getting more and more finicky every year

 

What is your ROM ID? If the definition file worked in one version of EcuFlash you had, it will work in all of them.

how can a missing xml definition be related to a cable? if you got this far, it sounds like the cable worked perfectly fine... seems to be more and more n00bs are getting finicky every year

Thanx for the help evoscan , or lack thereof ...actually Ive been using the mut tool at mitsubishi as a master cert tech for around 9 years so I dont consider myself a noob at all ...

I also said ive used the 1.3u cable in the past but that one broke and there is something up with this one
, even though Im running the exact same ecuflash program along with the same definitions that were on here before on the same tuning only laptop and I added senates master list as well ...not sure whats up with it ...


Senate I actually tried to open it with the newer lancer 3rd gen definition and it opens but Im not sure if thats ok since its always been ok before with the old cable ...Rom id is 88560010

 

Was 88560010 your ROM ID before? I have seen different cables and different versions of EcuFlash pick up a ROM as a different definition file than it really was. If you go into the definition folder location under program files does the 88560010.xml file actually have data inside it? Or does it just have the ROM ID info inside?

 

it has everything in there but im pretty sure what its doing is opening with another definition , I can still see everything but its not the right definition so some things arent available ....

that was the same one originally on the car and hasnt been changed , Im gonna go ahead and fix the issue by flashing the tephra lancer rom from roadspike and then pretty much eliminate that issue

Added definition file for 91890008 - 2003 ??, ??. Extract to your rommetdata folder and choose "yes" when asked to overwrite files.

 

I need the definition for lancer touring 2.0from venezuela 4g94, i have a turbo setup. I have installed the package of definitions and does not recognize the. hex file of the ecu please help mi ,taxtric read the ecu only as evo 7.8 usd

Hi, I have a Lancer 2.0 4g94 MT (turbo) in Venezuela

I paid someone to make my definition so that I could get in, he did it! But I only have one timing map (high)

I need to have them all, because of the weather changes and gas type (quality), sometimes it's on the other maps (low).

So I only have the high timing, but I need the high and low timing maps, somebody knows how to get them? How to do it?

Can I have\make a 2 step? how?

My 2.0 4g94 in the USA always used the low octane map, not sure how you's guys have it. For 2 step you probably need a evo rom, and a clutch position sensor switch. You should post the rom off your car too, so ppl can look/test with the defs.

Another issue that I have with my car is, when going in 5th gear at WOT the car seems to turn off one coil pack, maybe a protection, but from what? It only happens when going WOT for a long time and on high revs, one coil turns off and it doesn't keeps pulling as it should of course; I have to turn off the car and on again, and it's fine again.

Does anybody knows what's happening? someone has this issue too?

Mods on my car are:

AEM FIC piggyback, turbo GT2860R, External Wastegate TiAL 38mm, headers, downpipe and cat back 3", custom piping, Greedy BOV, K&N air filter, gauges EGT/wideband/boost, RC injectors 550cc, Clutch ACT 6pad w/springs, fidanza flywheel, pistons 9:1 wiseco, Pauter RODS, ARP head stud, acl bearings.

I'm only at 15 psi, because of traction issues when launching

What kind of file is in the zip folder. I extracted to the correct folder open the folder up and get this.


the file type just says "file"

This is my desktop with windows 7 64 bit.

My netbook with windows xp 32 bit wont even open the zip file. Says it is corrupt.

*update* I downloaded winrar for my netbook. Now they both say they are basically unknown file types with "file" as the file type. I have both evoscan 2.8 and ecuflash 1.42 installed with drivers. I have 1.3u cable. Any help is much appreciated.
