adjust "initial IPW vs coolant temp" at the temp you're having problems, which is probably 200 ish? at hot, I think? So, just bump 171 and 180 up to double what they are, from like 1.8 to 3.6 and see how that works.
Ohh i was doing the opposite by make the number smaller and decreasing, ill give that a shot tonite and let you know, i thought i was suppost to decrease that number and not raise it, i thought it was getting TOO much fuel, whenever i start her up when hot all i smell is gas

I think if you press the gas it ought to add more fuel, but also note that the value I have is 3.8 in those spots and mine starts pretty well. I'm just guessing on basically theory, like pressing the gas adds more fuel makes sense to me...but who knows. Trial and error though...trial and error, that's all I know how to use, lol.

Haha ok, it does make sense. Ill give it a shot tonight, i hope it starts up more easy

NO LUCK, in fact its actually worse. I have gone as far as "0.0" and as high as "10.0" and no changes, hmmm... i noticed when the car starts to actually crank and begin to start "hesitantly" the IDC raises to about 2-3%IDC while as when its cranking but not starting its at like 1.2% IDC, as i change the settings on the "initial IPW vs coolant temp" the log refects the changes i have made, however no difference what so ever in starting time at all, if not longer. However is seems to start when the IPW is near 4-5IPW and IDC is 2-3IDC, the time when it just cranks and will not start the IPW i can get to be around 4-5, but the IDC will not change, is there a way to change this, or can you really not change this, i have a feeling you can only really control IPW and IDC is just the duty cucle of the injectors and simply cant be raised higher or lower, its completly dependent on the IPW?

Kind of strange although maybe the IPW is just not a big enough change to affect the IDC. I think IDC is strictly just the measured value of how hard the injectors are working loggable through evoscan and not an adjustable value. Whereas all these different things in ecuflash we change are all just different ways to adjust our IPW for different situations and during different processes ie: startup, accel, cruise, decel etc.
Now that the holidays are done and my work finally took me off that crazy work schedule I plan on hitting the disassembly thing hard again. I just wish someone lived close to me who knew how and could walk me through it to help me start off cause its still chinese to me lol.

Lol yes, i havnt had much time ether unfortunatly, but if works slow today im going to study
1. RS really wished he could have spent more time on the Auto Tephra rom, he knows there are still some bugs to be worked out
2. Mr. Fred is busy for a day or 2, but did say he's going to look at the lancer rom/auto lancer rom/evo rom and compare MAF "Stuff" to see if he can tell why we see slightly odd behavior with the Evo MAF in. This might also convert over to some help with other things in general, like maybe startup.
I don't know about for the auto....but I do know things like "TimeTCompInjCrankHack" still make me nervous. Do you see a linear change in your IPW as you adjust up or down? Does it "make sense" like if you increase from 1 to 2, and then from 2 to 3....is the result relatively linear? I'm curious because when I use the scaling from yours on a normal lancer, works fine. When I use that scaling on an evo rom, it shows random high/lo/high/lo values....and I know that since your rom is an auto from a lancer, it should use lancers settings...but like you can tel, something is off.
The "Cranking IPW Compensation vs Time" table is going to reduce the amount of fuel the longer you crank between about the 0- .5 (that's 1/2) second range. What sort of AFR do you see when you start the car cold? or does it start too quickly to tell? Also, the post cranking transient enrichment is probably why it goes richer as it starts.
I talked to Roadspike yesterday, and Mr. Fred. 2 points:

Thank you for the post Hornstar, your always a big help for me
Ok, so, when i start the car cold, AFR are 13-13.5 until it warms up and starts closed loop (not running forced open loop). When im in forced open loop however, im having a problem i think may be related to my MAP sensor not working, i will start the car it idles rich, like 13 or so AFR but my fuel maps in ECUflash show a value of 14.7, i tried to adjust the injector scaling and it made no changes, in my cruise area of my fuel map i have an input value of 15.7 to crusie in from 1500-6000RPM from 20-65% load and my wideband displays anywhere from 14.2-14.7 AFR while crusing, so thats a separate problem, i just wanted to get that out thereYour question about the Linear change in IPW, have you viewed my logs? or do you mean in my initial IPW vs coolant temp table in ECUflash? In ecu flash the only values i have changed are the high temp areas, i tried decreesing the values and increesing the values, no changes were really made, except for when i change the actual scaling for that table, when i change the scaling the car WONT start, and reads rich on the wideband (10.0AFR) for about 3-4 min until it air's out. Now, if i do change the values in the ECUflash "initial IPW vs coolant temp" i can see it reflecting on the logs, they do actually make a difference in the logs, but still no changes to the actual car in starting time.
I really want to get this worked out as it makes my car look ****ty everytime i start my car even a little warm, it just cranks...
