I wish Boe and the other GURUs can verify and chime in on this...maybe Rock too. Cuz this would be sweet!

Greg if this is possible for sure...I might have to start collecting change from the Sofa.
People have been doing 1.8L MIVECs for years now... I was in contact YEARS ago with a guy somewhere over there (I think he was in Turkey or maybe Egypt), who did it, and one of my good Mirage buddies is currently doing it as well. You WILL lose some of the rev capabilities with the longer stroke and you will have to use premium gas, but from what I have learned, it is not a difficult swap at all. The most difficulty is tracking down the head and ECU.

sorry homie. i think you've missed out in the past year. that's all wrong. thought i should tell you.

as for anyone backing up the mivec swap, you're only going to hear it from a couple personal tuner heads and not really any shop owners as it's just too rare. i believe i've only heard about as many stories of this swap as fingers on one hand(stateside anyways).

just by chance would this fit on a 4g94. look about 3/4 way down the page and you will see a 2000 mirage 1.8l DOHC head for 250 DOLLARS IN NC, USA.

THey are stupid. It is probably a typo or trying to lure someone or something, but I will bet my Ralliart, that is not a 4G9x DOHC head.
