PS- can someone tell me how often a filter needs to be cleaned. I know K&N says something like 50,000 miles but that just seem recockulus to me.

That looks like nothing compared to the rest. It's a peice of garbage. I wouldn't buy anything from Ebay that wasn't made by a company like AEM, Injen, RRM or any of the others. The ebay ones are crap with crappy filters. If you do get one you should buy a K&N filter for it.

ya i can second that; my first intake was a ebay sri; it sucks, very cheap; spend the extra money or just look around these boards; i got a injen sri for 100 shipped; recharged filter and even HAND DRAWN instructions; awesome you should have seem em lol. looks like geometry drawing lol. awesome.

oh ok nm then. i thought they were basically the same but i guess not lol. i was thinking of the rrm one but now that you guys mention it, ill just go with aem or injen i guess

i just cleaned mine after probably 30k. made a difference, but mostly in sound. i guess you should clean it at most 15-20k. i hit my filter against the table and all sorts of **** fell out between the folds. i have my stock snorkel feeding my intake tho so it'd get dirtier faster.
