I have had an AEM and an Injen. By far the AEM was the easiest to install (cause it has the soft rubber bushings as opposed to the hard parts). However I noticed better gains with the Injen and a much better sound. The suction seems to be greater on the Injen. They also include a heat shield for the applications. What does that mean? Well if you are by chance driving through rain it will deflect the water around the filter instead of being like AEM's where is will possibly just suck it in. I say Injen but to each there own. Sometimes you just have to make the leap and find out. That is what makes modding cars so fun..

I have recently aquired the K&N Typhoon Intake. Take a look @ the beauty below:

The intake looks great, sounds awesome and performs really well. I agree, no one in his right mind will pay $300 for this intake and I myself wouldnt do it either. I got it for such a good deal I couldnt pass it up. Maybe... JUST maybe... I am the only Lancer on Evom.net to be putting around with the K&N Typhoon.

EDIT: Why isnt there an option for the K&N Typhoon on the poll!

sorry. you're not the only one. some guy got one for free because his car was the guinea pig for kn.

i'm assuming though, that there are still only 2 on the whole site... so you're still kinda special.

See, now if he wanted to be REALLY unique, he would've gone my way! Besides, mine's cooler looking!

I hate to break it to ya Purecoda, I bought my Typhoon off the K&N Guinea pig. He sold it to me cuz he wanted to go turbo and he wouldnt need it anymore.

So once again, I am the ONLY Lancer on this forum with the Typhoon intake. w00t w00t!!!
