My question has been answered about how the the piping is going to be ran. By the looks of it, I am going to pass on it and get stage 2. Good luck to whoever gets stage 3.

I think the quad will void your warranty just as much as a turbo. The turbo at least you just plug up a piggyback for most. The quad throttle body you will need a standalone. Unless you buy that new cord and get the evoflash or whatever and just retune your stock ecu.

Leave it to the Mirage guys to have the answers. Go to this link to see what they have to say about the twin throttle body setup: Link

I'm now with Kurt on this one. The Stage 2 looks much better IMO. They are still discussing it but since our engines are just bored out 1.8 Mirage engines what they have to say has a great deal of weight.

well i read in a thread about the quads a while back, RPW where gonna do a deal with some one $2k for quad throttle body, standalone ecu with all the toys, camshaft, fuel rail, fpr. etc tonnes of crap to support the new air intake.

I don't think a quad throttle body will void as much as turbo, because turbo is compressing air then shoving it into the engine. A quad throttle is just bringing more air in. No chance of explosions, easier on the engine. Its bound to be more reliable.

wow 2 grand for all of that? I'd jump on it quick. Their standalone alone is $1000, camshaft is another $400, then the fuel rail and FPR. If you can get that deal with them, go for it.

I guarantee you if you have powertrain problems and they pop your hood and see a quad tb setup, your warranty will be voided just as fast as if they saw a turbo or a nitrous setup.

it would be no different with a twin tb either though, and of course it would depend on the problem. Unless the tb is directly causing the problem, it HAS to be covered.

Damn guys, honestly...how could you think a quad throttle body would not void a warranty.
Mitsu sometimes voids warranties for intakes...how would you explain 4?

Shingen, thx a lot for posting that link. I didn't find anything that wouldn't make me want to buy Stage3. It seems pretty straight forward as long as you know what you're doing. I think I will give it a try but in a while, maybe May 1st...for a b-day gift or something.

And to all others, quit showing stupidity. Do your damn research before posting nonsense.

they dont void warranties for regular intakes.
ive got an intake and had stuff covered under warranty, the only way they could void it is if it directly effected the problem.

Sadly they do. I don't even bother taking my car into the dealership, it's not worth it. Sometimes it's a battle to get something completely unrelated taken care of. But this brings me to my next point: This thread is about the twin throttle body, not quad, not other intakes, not turbo.

Keep the topic on track.

areet, i guess it just depends on the dealership, ive had no problems. (although it is the law that they fix under warranty unless the aftermarket part is the problem, or directly causes the probelm, AOL news did an article on it a couple of days ago, interesting read)

anywho back on topic.
So is anyone actually gonna go ahead and buy this, or we all saving our pennies still? lol
