^ don't you think if the header was designed right in the first place you would not need the stupid CEL Eliminator and having to rent a car for a doner car.

You misunderstand. We need to rent a car for the guy who has done all the R&D. Our shop cars are FEDs his is PZEV. As for design of the header, It is fine, maybe you don't understand why the CEL even comes on. There is a reason related to the cat....... Ther is no way around it and ANY HEADER, ANY HEADER for 08 PZEV would require something to eliminate this issue.

CEL eliminators are being made as we speak. In 2 weeks we will have 25 units. They will still be sold separately for PZEV header guys. We have good instructions for it too. Remember this will be an electronic device in case you didn't know that.

So Rob, let me get this straight.

If you have a FED car (I'm in Canada), I won't need a CEL eliminator and I wont have problems with engine lights going off with the new header installed???

Thanks!

12 June 08 - I just installed the PZEV header on my 08 GTS. I did not see a CEL come on. Is this something that'll happen later? Or is it supposed to happen right away? I made sure that all the torque specs were right. I installed the old sensor in the hole provided and connected it again. Have I done something wrong or do you think it is the other aftermarket stuff i have on the car?

13 June 08 - OK, update... The CEL just came on this morning. I guess it takes a while before the ECU figures out there's no cat. I didn't unplug the battery for 15 minutes to allow the ECU to reset. I need to remember that when I do $#!^ like this. A rookie mistake...

FED cars DO NOT NEED A CEL ELIMINATOR. Just the pzevs will need it even though lots of guys are running them currently on pzevs and could care less about the light.
