I guess I'm just not sure how to approach it. Jack the front up, put jack stands in and do it all from underneath or do you do some from up top as well?

Just a brief step-by-step would help me get started here when I get my car back within about a week. Then, I can possibly get my hands on a digital cam and throw up a rough DIY Guide using your info combined with my experience of doing it and pictures and we can both contribute here to the rest of the evom members .

for those who have headers and got them installed at a shop, how much did it cost you?

It really sucks to buy RRM products in Canada because on top of shipping you have to pay tons of money on duty too, I bought the V2 intake and the duty for that was $60 CAD. The duty fee and probably 2x the installation cost vs. US is holding me back from buying this header.

wow, 60$ for the heat shield on duty, ouch. If they only shipped with another company. USPS doesn't charge duty, well not as much as FEDEX or UPS.

For Canada guys we declare 50% value on these items to help you out. We do that on everything except large CF parts. We cannot control what your Gov does. We tried USPS and lost $1000s in claim issues. UPS is all we can do.

I understand ROCK. You can avoid the duty charges by doing you own paperwork. There is lots of info on that if you google it.

Just takes a little more effort and time, but if you want to save 60$, is it worth your time in $$?

UPS is the guys we have an account with. We tried FEDX. IT sucked for us. We do too much volume to play games. We cannot do gifts but again we do what most no other company does and that is discount things 50%. We even take a risk on stuff like that because of insurance reasons. Please appreciate our efforts to help our Canadian Customers.

Which headers should I buy for my 08 Es? Is it worth paying 500 for RRM?

Honestly? I would get custom headers made. Should be a lot cheaper and if not better.

So for 300$ less you get one that's not quite the same, but still pretty close. I'm sold, OBX it is

yeah because RRM spent thousands of dollars developing the header trying different things, until they found a design that suited our needs.

what companies like OBX and other "ebay" brand aftermarket suppliers do is buy the real product and simply clone it.

Many of the "ebay" intakes out there are actually INjen intakes.... same with the HPS intake looks like a copy too... (this goes for other parts such as exhausts, throttle bodys etc...)
