RRM headers vs Magnaflow Catback

alright guys my plan for spring/summer is to get a set of coilovers then either headers or catback

which one do u guys think i should get first? i am not really concerned about the sound...more about the gains really. would changing a header not help if im still using the same restrictive stock exhaust system, or would it still help the same and if not more than the magnaflow catback. bcuz the headers were dynoed @ i think 10hp and 12tq and the catback was 10hp/10tq(not entirely sure but at least that)?

the price difference is about 100dollars US (headers being 100 cheaper)

cuz i probably cant afford all 3 at the same time the coils are expected to be around 1200 to 1400.

so let me know what you guys think and why. this would help me do research from now till spring =) thx in advance!

I'm pretty skeptical that a catback gained 10 HP, you don't see a gain like that on an Evo. I would probably go with a catback first, a header won't add tons of HP, the install can be a pain in the *** and it messes up the way the exhaust sounds.

i say just a axle back, don't waste money on no catback exhaust on this car. our piping it just fine. so i would get intake, exhaust and then headers.

i would deff get the headers first, you will notice the gains much more then with the catback, plus its cheaper.

I agree, headers first then catback.

Plus, it'll be nice to not have a really loud car for a while longer.

i think i need to get the hi-flow cat as well if i get the header cuz i did some browsing and some people are reporting raspy exhaust sounds from the headers w/o the hi-flow

note* i said CAT = catalytic converter not to be confused w/ the cat back =D
