I can't get a RA for that.

I would buy the SI over the lancer. My dad has an SI coupe and the interior feels way more upscale than my Evo's, even tho my car cost $15k more. SI is better from a performance standpoint as well.
your wrong. i just came from a boosted fg2 and there is no tuning solution worth a damn but a reflash. In the end you have a fwd spinning wonder and its still a civic. The evo is much cheaper to mod. Its also a lot more expensive.
i dont think he meant the civic was better to mod..but its true that the interior is better than the evos both new and old..come on honda is acura you have to kind of expect that. if you stay NA its cheaper to mod the civic if you want to go turbo you have to throw out some cash even though i think its still cheaper yet beneficial to turbo it also. so in the end the evo will be cheaper.
but this isnt about the evo idk why this argument is still going on..its been said like 3 pages ago..the lancer has nice features, looks nice but its slow if you have any intentions of modding out your car DO NOT get the lancer you're basicaly shooting yourself in the foot and are gonna come whining to everyone why your car dosent respond well to mods.. so if you want an ok nice looking daily with minor mods at most, get the lancer. but if you want a QUICK car or you have any modding intentions and like a nice interior go with the civic its one of the best cars in its class to start modding with..i would say it was the best in its class before the genesis coupe came out.. price wise you can find a new SI for under 22. if you get an 09 GTS with the featuers you want your gonna pay the same if not more..

for power AND comfort buy a GTI !!!!!!!!

But yes, the GTI's are nice.
Finally, drive 'em all, work out your best deal, and for the lover of God, no matter what you decide please come back and give us an update, ppl have too much invested in this thread for you to leave us hanging.

Good luck man!
He wants to keep it at $22,000 or less, GTI base price is $23,830 for the 4 door.

also he should get the 2 door, it's better
the 4 door actually isn't any bigger, and getting in and out the back in the 2 door is cake.
I've seen people on the golf forums get em for $21K OTD.
jk lolSorry, I got a little
I couldn't resist.
My friend just got a black Si sedan and I really like it. But I would prefer my Lancer over it. They both look great, the Si got a nicer interior but the lancer for more technology. And in terms of power, get an evo. Lol I have to admit my lancer is a snail, but I'm not looking to street racing and/or track racing.
And I really can't stand the engine bay of the Si and all the latest civics. Its sooooo small and cramped up, its like no room to move. I changed the headlight bulbs for my friend's Si and it was a pain in the ***. Had to jack up the car, remove the covering above the wheels and change the bulbs from behind the hood/infront of the wheels. Whereas in my lancer all I did was open the hood and popped it out, took less than 5 minutes for both.

I really do appriciate every ones thoughts and comments
thanks guys
