Clicking Noise

Now the thing is whenever I rock the car back and forth and I have a hand ontop of the engine I can feel the clicking/popping noise in the top of the engine. Has anybody else noticed this or discovered this besides me.

uhm. so the front wheels are attached to the tranny which is under the engine... Could it have something to do with trying to move the car while in park or do you have a manual?

Ive got a CVT. I got to thinking last night and I think that its just the parking break catching.

Yeah CVT here also... It happens every time I drive the car. It usually happens within the first few feet of driving in either direction. I assume it's something to do with the transmission, and I also assume it's completly normal. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

You might be mistaking it with the fact that the engine cools down after turning off the engine. When the metals cool down and contract, they tend to make the ticking and popping noises.

Oh nvm, misread your post. Hmmm... Maybe it's the fact that the power steering isn't working without the engine on?

thanks peeps. I was just wondering because I still havent been able to pinpoint the Ratteling sound that im getting from my front wheels. You can hear it if you hit the front tires with your hand and you can really hear it if you fun over the street reflectors or hit a small bump in the road. its a metal on metal sound but havent found anything loose on that one still looking though.
