I n my opinion it is the OBX muffler - they are loud- even though they advertise less than 90db. I went witha mozart system and it is just the right note.

it's not only the muffler although that is what would affect the tone of the exhaust. running a straight pipe is what makes it really obnoxiously loud in the cabin. if you put your cat back on, it should kill most of the annoying noise inside the car. if you change the muffler it will change the noise that ppl 5 blocks away would hear. i'd start with a new muffler, then try putting the cat back on.

if you changed the muffler it may help a little. My friend had an OBX Cat Back, And it Was Crazy loud (all he has is an intake and exhaust) I can only imagine how it would sound in a free flowing exhaust. He later changed it to a Tsudo exhaust and it quieted down a little

it's the obx. change it to something else ( a REAL muffler) and you'll notice a huge diff. i used an obx upstream of my tanabe on my integra, and that thing was LOUD.

Your best bet would be to get the Greddy (Which I have). It has a resanator which keeps it quiet. It's probably the muffler adding to the noise as well. People with the same setup as you with the Greddy have no problems at all. Good luck.

It's mainly the test pipe dawg. Get a high flow cat and save the test pipe for the track.
