lol, j/k...it works, but it's not super efficient...if a 14b can do it, a twin scroll 16g sure can!

Its the same turbo the evo 8's are using pushing there 8 turbos up to 24-25 lbs and the 9's up to 26lbs on pump and 30 on e85. Im saying what I have done from experience so far no one has beaten 17lbs of boost

the 4g94 is the best engine in the oz it'll make up to 250hp with out a head swap but if u swap the engine I recommend the 2.4 liter from the ralliart wagon it's more reliable then the 4g63 that's in the evo and is able to handle more power

I would really like to see a 4g69 handling more horsepower than a 4g63 reliably. The Evo motor is one of the greatest 4 cylinder motors ever made.

Its the not head alone, its the block itself and the design that makes it reliable.

the 4g69 block is strong; it's iron-cast and built the same as the 4g63/64 except with slightly wider coolant passages. if the bore is kept at 87mm you'll have no sealing issues. no reason it can't hold a lot of power.

4g69 is a semi-open deck version of the 4g63 (as don carbone mentioned, larger coolant passages), with a larger bore. all other dimensions are identical, and all internals are interchangeable minus the pistons, all it's missing is the ports for oil squirters, but the channel is there, and just needs to be drilled and tapped...mitsuorder made like 800hp on 4g69 block with a 4g63 head...it's not the block that's weak it's the parts inside...stock 4g69 pistons have narrower ring lands, and are higher compression...300hp is doable with a bone stock 4G69...all it takes is head studs...I'm living proof.

I like that radiator hose, that strutbar is legit, mine from Megan racing hits the MAP sensor, so I bent it.

if u swap in a eclipse motor 4g64 and mate a 4g63 doch head ontop you just open urself up to some moar power ... i see a article in import tuner jun 10' issue of a guy doing a mivec 4g64 [ using a evo9 head ] in a evo. so if u follow the guide for the lancer doing the 64 swap and just replace the 64 head with a evo8 head.... well the rest is history....
I have roughly 300-330hp at the flywheel in my 03 VRX with a 4G94 with 20PSI, yes the 94 has drawbacks like acceleration and high rpm power, but that engine ****ing thrives in low-mid rpm, forged internals, 70mm throttle body and intake manifold, 4 bearing 302 turbo, cold air intake, upgraded cam with new valve springs and cam gear, 440cc injectors, people say it’s junk cause they try and make it all round, work to your advantages, I’ve built it around precision handling and its torque abilities in low-mid rpm range
