i just put in the bigjoshracing mil eliminator and put the wires about 2" away from the 02 sensor is that to close?where did everyone put theres?

actually, reread the directions, it says 2" away from the connector, and thats where i put mine

 

did yours work cause mine did not,but i dont think that would make a differance would it

 

i have to drive more before i find out. i'm not sure how much of a difference the location would make, but i would try reinstalling it cause maybe your wires don't have good connections or are touching each other or something

 

nope, my light came on today, as i was gunning it onto a highway. ah well, guess it doesn't work for everyone

 

might be the same, i installed mine under passanger seat. there is an opening for o2 sensor same as in lacer i belive.

 

Ok, i want to know how you guys hooked up your mil. The directions show different colored wires then what is actually on the car. When I looked at the wires on the o2 sensor there were 2 black, 1 white, and 1 blue. The directions I got have completely different colors so I want to know what wires you connected and if you could show me a pic I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

 

screw that, jut pull your CEL bulb! it's free and a lot easier.

 

Can someone with a _working_ mil eliminator post pics of the part installed? Or can someone link me to a thread with a picture if it's already been created?

I took a pic and then my camera died, can't tell if it's useable. here's the wiring, though.

Leave the black wires alone
white>grey>MIL elim>grey>white
blue>green>mil elim>black>blue

I don't think it matters where it's installed, but a couple inches from the sensor is more convenient, and that's where mine is. 15K miles, CEL only at startup, like it should be.

If you have one that doesn't work, check it with a mutimeter (I got mine for $4 at my local parts store, works like a charm). If it's broke for sure, and BJR won't replace, cut it open and see if the guys at your Radio Shack can hook you up with the stuff to do it.... I can't imagine it more than a couple resistors, and they're notorious for not working. Bring your multimeter to check the parts.
