ROAD/RACE- Anyone interested in FORGED N/A PISTONS?
Let us know Boe about the dyno.
I will be installing my set this Thursday!!!
I can't wait, the only thing is that it cost soooo much money for everything.
Got the oil, still need some oil filter, timing belt.
I am currently misfiring for some reason. No SES light but my car is jerking if I hit the throttle more than 60%. Do you think that would damage the new pistons???
I will replace the coild pack and everything related to igniton soon but not know.
Wish me luck

my thoughts are always to make sure you car is running perfect before adding a performance mod. the mod won't fix it, and if anything, it usually amplifies the problem. plus it makes it triple hard to troubleshoot what the problem is: a prexisting condition or problem caused by the mod
I just baught the pistons and then a nice GSX came up for sale... i think i might be selling them now for a low price to pay for the new ride.
Been wanting one for a long time now... I'll post a 4 sale to see who wants them.

That poor set of pistons. Like the red-headed step child of the RRM office.
The first four sets went immediately. And now the 5th set is getting kicked around...

OK so today I will be dropping off my car to swap the pistons. I coulnd't sleep all night ....
I will post everything once I get my car back (Saturday).
Today the mechanic will take everything apart. On Thursday he will send the pistons with stock rods to be pressed down in a machine shop. Friday he will put everything back together.
I still have to get a new coolant, spark plugs, water pump, timing belt. Darn NAPA can't get everything on time.

just incase you didn't know... get plugs that are a step cooler than the stocks. I believe they are BKR6E's... they will help in the higher compression cycle. Hope to hear good news soon.
OK I just called Road Race and they said I will be fine with just regular spark plugs. I'm confused......tomorrow in the morning I will be at NAPA buying the last things for the swap.
HELP anyone?!

I think this might have already been discussed but once I have these installed, if I decide to go turbo at a later date, would it be absolutely necessary to swap the stock CR pistons back in? Or can you leave the high compression in? Just wonding because I think I've read that the CR is to high for turboing but I have also read about motors running a 11.5:1 CR and they have successfully been turbocharged. Is it just more difficult to tune or would it actually cause a problem with the motor?
Everyone is saying the same thing high compression + FI = kaboooom.
It's always better to get lower compression and then FI. Unless you want to go N/a road and get high compression pistons.
