Do you hate your lancer or something? I'm just asking because that's the impression and attitude I'm sensing from your responses... no offense.

I personally love my lancer and don't plan selling it.

Lancers Are Very Reliable!

I don't hate it. I am just being realistic, which is something this board is missing.

You're right, being realistic is the way to be. Don't wanna get anyone's hopes up either. But, don't shoot down any newbies hopes either!

We're veterans around these forums and we've learned the hard way.

At the time of sale I had 84000 miles on my Lancer from March of 02.

I changed all the belts and the waterpump at 60K. I think I did rotors and brake pads at 40K.
The only trouble I was beginning to have was that the power windows seemed to be misaligned on the tracks a bit. Once I returned the car to stock for sale it felt like a lexus with all the exhaust loudness gone.

I never did the recall flash after everyone complained about the revs.

Car ran like NEW.

I forgot to add that I changed the clutch at 75K or so but that was just to continue allowing me to do numerous passes on the 1/4. Too many to count but fun nontheless.
