Need Help About A Clutch!

I just put in a new motor on my car and now the clutch is really soft.. What would cause this? We tried to bleed it, but the peddle is still way soft. It doesn't want to go in gear much at all.. i know the clutch was going to need to be replace sometime, but it still had some life on it before the new motor was put in...AND it had pressure.. not it doesn't have anything... does anyone know what might cause this?

Also, now that the new motor is in the car... it doesn't seem to run strong.. i have someone telling me it's the mas air flow sensor.? When we test drove it, if it was in nutural trying to coast it felt like it was bing bogged down.. like there is pressure slowing it down as if it was in gear/. any ideas?

thanks for the opinions and advise...

Maybe your screwed-up clutch is causing it to not run strong?

Shouldn't you consult with the mechanic that swapped your motor?

We have talked to him, but don't you think if before the clutch was removed and still had pressure and worked that after putting it back in it would still work and have some pressure? It doens't seem to have any at all. the clutch was some what warn but i fon't think it was that bad where it wouldn't work, and if it was that bad why would he put it back in, instead of saying this clutch wont work. your gonna need a new one?

Maybe the clutch isn't installed correctly, or the fluid is low.

Umm, Road Race sells clutchs. If there was that much of a difference before and after I don't know if I'd go and spend like $350 on something that might not solve my problem though. Was the engine replaced with the same 2.0L SOHC or did you have it bored out or what? Did you blow it up, what?

Things just break down after a while. You're not the first Lancer to have that problem.

There's no performance parts available. Just grab a new one from or a junkyard.
