Anyone notice that the intake is on the front of the engine? Unlike the 4G94. gonna make for some interesting headers. Are we sure its the same engine that is in the Caliber/Compass/Patriot?

I'm not 100% sure but I saw somewhere on the internet when the Caliber came on the market they talk about the Mitsubishi World engine platform, 1.8 2.0 and 2.4 engine, and we will see it in new Mitsubishi, Hyunday and Dodge vehicule.

I will try to find the link.

I noticed that. It should make the header just like on my friends cavalier. Not much harder to install. Turbo options may be a little tricky.

Anyone notice how the tops of the window frame is painted to match the body color? Thats weird. I assume its because the frame is the same metal as the door skin, and that a car color b pillar has always looked bad. Just odd...

Needs to be lower, but htat's what mods are for. It's better than the one I'm driving, that's for sure.

my opinions on styling. I love the aggressive front. looks great. The rear looks like crap to me. I HATE when companys put lights or reflectors on a rear bumper like that. Trunk sits up way to high for my taste.... Stock wing = crap. Other then that I like it.

they've always been making them look like a downgrade of the evo, the older mirages had the body of the older evos, the 02-03 had the body style/grille shape of the evo 7, the 04-05 had the body style of the evo 8 including the triangle grille, the 06's had body style of evo ix with the same open grille.....

the 04+'s lost a lot evo style though. with the headlights, and the placement of the license plate. also with the OZ only having side skirts and no front or rear lip.

Looks like the lancer could finally be a nice platform to mod with a nice aftermarket. The car will sell, parts will become available, mitsu might stay in the US. That sounds great to me

ALSO, the dohc base engine is a 4b11 if i am not mistaken. I'm pretty sure thats the same engine in the evo, just not turbo of course. That is huge to me. Modding should be a lot more interesting. Look at what people in the UK have done with NA 4g63s in their lancers.

Theres a huge potential for swapping evo turbo components in with ease. How is everyone complaining?
