They are there to make things pretty and simple looking for the car NOOBS so that they don't get freaked out by the engine and other components when they pop the hood to refill the washer fluid...HAHAHA.

Sure is. Now people that don't have the money for the EVO do not have to go to subaru/dodge or chev/saturn if they want something FI for less. I think there's a big market there if mitsu can stand out and sway those buyers.

I was at my local area Mitsu dealer for some maintainace yesterday and I had a nice two hour chat with the sales manager while I waited (we've known each other for a few years)
Anyways, he showed me his (Mistsu doesn't know I have this) CD containing just about everything you could get on the new Lancer (sorry no Evo stuff).
You guys have pretty much covered the most with pics, trim and options. What I am going to add is PRICING!
The listed MSRP's are about 500-1000K higher than current model pricing. The GTS is listed at $18K with all options it bumps to $22.5K The current Ralliart is a little over 21K with the Sun&Sound option so this jives.
As for turbo'd or AWD GT-S models he had no difinitive information. He did state that he had heard those rumors too. He doubts they would add AWD to the base Lancer as an option but he said a Turbo is pretty likely.
