You could say that about the 04-06 Lancers. To me, I think it is an upgrade in looks. It also looks alot better in person.

mmm i see what you mean the diff from 03 and 04.. but it kind of still held a similar body type. but this new one looks like parts from all differnt cars.. body of a TSX (kinda bulky) and the rear tail lights like a Lexus IS and the front end looks somewhat original or maybe i cant think of the car to match it with

Could anyone comment on the interior built quality? Hows the paint? Looks like the new interior is very Mazda3-ish, which is good!

Hmm maybe my current lancer becomes the DD and a new one becomes an RRM turbo 08-09 lancer, or a new X. i would assume the base lancer's engine will hold boost reasonably well considering it is a 4b11 just like the X

 

I do believe that RRM already has there hands on an 08 Lancer.

 

All Evos are Lancers.......Come on man....What do you expect? Other than CT9A Evo chassis all the other past body styles were almost identical to the base lancer. As for the current Evo, it's furthest away from the base Lancer, but it still looks like a Lancer. Look at the past Evos and compare them to their base versions and you will the strong similarities. Duh!

 

What the hell is Evo style? Please elaborate.

It's not just an Evolution, it's a Lancer Evolution.

Because then it wouldn't be much of an eco car.

Your opinion, I think the new Lancer is a large step up, and for those of us who don't want to do the hard core racing/drifting the new Lancer provides the look and style of a nice car.

Evo style is simply what it sounds like, a car that isn't an evo but has the style of one. He was saying that 02-03 Lancers had many similarities in looks with the Evos at that time, but the 04+ models started to drift away from the Evo look.

nope

 

nope, jdm lancers have the optional non-turbo 4g63, and they do not have the same potential as a evo's 4g63. the internals are completely different, kind of like dsm's.
