I just got an email from Mitsu sayin there is a webcast viewin for the '08 Lancer at the Detroit show where they'll be discussing the car and also preview the "Prototype-X". The website in www.lancerproject.com so i'm jus tryin to get support from tru Lancer fans out there, sign up it's free.

 

That'll be neat for people who can't make it there in person.

You can be sure that I'll be taking lots of pics, as well, when I go on the 13th (first public day).

Honesty, look at the last gen Lancer (cedia). In its basic form with OZ trim, its very easy to see how the design used elements of the orignal Altezza (IS300) in a more basic and boring shape. The Evo with its fender flares and wing strayed further from the IS look, but its evident in the proportions and C pillar shape. Japanese car makers are great a copying styling elements.

Back to the point, how is a sub $20,000 car looking like a Lexus a bad thing???

 

That $#!% is nasty! I want one sooo hard! They have really step up the class in that thing!. Look; pods, Nav, Electronic guages, Rear middle headrest... But I've gone too far in this Lancer to turn back now. Its either an 08' Ralliart/Evo or nothing. If I ever had a wreck though...I'd get it.



Or an 08' Sentra SE-R V...

I think this Lancer is like a "pilot episode" for the newer Evolution. They'll look alike definitely. I figure it's a smart way to gauge interest in the new design.

What I'd really like to see is the return of the Eclipse GSX... :/
