with all after market hoods its recommended to have then installed. but knowing RRM/Carbontrix quality, you wouldn't need them.

I really wouldn't base the question on the quality of the hood... It's the fact that these things weight a few pounds, and if you don't want it going airborne on the highway/interstate I would get them.

Yeah, but RRM is pretty high-quality. I'd trust the hood latch, personally. But I'd probably get pins away. I am a ricer, after all.

i had rrm's cf hood for my 04 ralliart and never had hood pins. it has held up extremely well. havent had any problems w/ it at all. seems very sturdy even at higher speeds. but i suppose it doesnt hurt to have a little extra safety/security.

and yes! +2 for pics!! what the hell rob! lol, it's monday night now! j/k

Here is a pic.

411 on the hood..........

Stock hood 36 lbs.
CARBONTRIX Carbon Fiber hood 16 lbs.

Hood pins not required but a good idea for sure on any CF hood. Crappy pic of the hood on on a mint green ES but you get the idea.
