The Ultimate Milage and Gas Milage Thread!
I do mostly street driving. Got AEM CAI, RRM headers, RRM, Piggy V2, Custom catback 2.25" piping. After installing the piggy ive been getting 20 mpg. Before installing i was getting close to 25. Anyone know why?

i find it difficult to believe, 10 to 15 mpg???? i usually figure my mileage every tank. in the summer heat and humidity in new jersey with the ac on ALL of the time, i would still get like 28 or so, with out ac on i get about 32 on average. i'm not a very agressive driver, but i don shift at 3000 rpms either. Now i do drive on the highway here in AZ, but its more like a parking lot in traffic to and from work.
my oz is stock (other than plug wires). i get about 22mpg in the city. 60mph is my average speed. im always running it hard. and this is constantly stop and go city traffic. nothing like chicago, but it does get pretty busy during rush hour.
into 2nd at 15mph
into 3rd at 25mph
into 4th at 35mph
into 5th at about 42mph

there is too many factors to consider when judging your MPG
1. How you drive
2. AT Vs. MT
3. Hills make a big difference especially if you drive in them all the time like i do.
3. Highway Vs. street and how long you are both or just one. I drive all the time on the street becasue everywhere i go is on a street access.
4. Stop and go. If you live in LA then your gas sucks!!! or even NYC
5. Take off. How hard you slam the peddle, and even how slow you start off doesnt always help.
6. Also like two years ago they change the regular gas to a lower octane so you would get a change in your MPG.
i think our cars are fine unless you are getting below the double digits then take that damn thing into the shop or take it off the Dragstrip...LOL

I'm getting about 20, with a SRI and axleback.
Also you have to take into account altitude and temperature. I dont' think my car likes El Paso's altitude or the fact that it's really hot...

man, how is everyone getting such terrible gas milage? lol..
I have the RRM t-25 non-ic turbo kit, and I'm averaging around 27mpg. (24/32)
Before that when I only had header/intake/exhaust/testpipe, I was getting more like 30/42..
At the point where the fuel light comes on, that means you've burned 10 gallons of fuel out of your 13.2 gallon tank. So, I just fill up usually when the fuel light comes on with 10 gallons of gas, and I went around 270 miles, so 270miles divided by 10gallons is 27mpg.

its about even... the highway driving really isn't much though. so I guess its mostly city. I merge on the highway (I-75) at about 75mph, then drive for about 5 miles to Southfield freeway (55mph) for 5 miles, then the rest of the 10 or 15 miles is residential/stop'n'go traffic to college. When I don't have college, and I drive ONLY city, I average about 24-26mpg in the city... then when I've went on long trips on the highway, I get around 29-32mpg.
I also don't have any catalytic converts on my car. When I took those off originally, my gas mileage got better by quite a bit when I was N/A. The check engine light came on, but the car ran sooo much better.
Maybe you guys should try resetting your ECU's or something.. Unplug battery for 10 mins.. then plug it back in. Start the car and let it idle for 10-15 mins, then drive it under 3000rpms for 10-15 mins.
