Auto Vs Manual?

Has anyone in an auto raced a MT? Did you lose horribly? (Lancer Vs Lancer)

Just having an automatic instead of a manual creates a big lack in horsepower. I used the g-tech to see that there is a 15 hp difference at the wheels...

i sadly lost to a MT, pre turbo. Now they cant touch me hahah, the difference lessens the more power you add.

I can run against a MT turbo now and hold my own. before i slowly slipped away.

Race me when my car's running again.

Better yet, race Boe now.

Seriously though, the difference shouldn't be huge if the AT is driven aggressively enough to create a comparably aggressive map (mostly in regard to shift points).

LoL I wouldn't mind racing ya'll and getting spanked I think it would be sweet to see how far our cars can really go. So do I have a chance at a 40 punch?

ok...
Automatic vs. Manual... DERRR... manual shifting gives you somewhat more control over your rpms.... unlike automatic, which when it reaches to a certain point, it will shift... where as with manual... IF DONE RIGHT, you can shift just at the right moment (maybe a second or two later than the AT tranny) your car will haul even more ***...

BUT don't get me wrong, you can easily beat the bejesus out of a MT with an AT... how? find yourself an MT drive who SWEAR TO ALL THAT IS MIGHTY that they're the ****, and it's obvious that they don't know squat... and race the little *****, scare him a bit, and boom, YOU WIN! just be aggressive when you drive, don't be as cocky as most MT racers...

learn how to force shift your automatic, and learn how to hold your AT from shifting a bit too early... that way u can get a lil more push... it's kinda tricky cuz you can easily... EASILY **** with your car a bit too much.

I push my ride harshly sometimes... but then i make sweet love to it and it forgives me o_O lol

Never manually shift an auto tranny. It was never meant it to be that way.

The bane for Auto is 3rd gear. It's too slow getting revs to peak power.

ps... my automatic is wierd, i dunno maybe its lke this for everyone, but it seems like after i modded, when i floor it, it just goes strait to red line, then shifts down and stays up above the 4000 rpm mark.

anyone else with an auto see this?
