i tried to flexidip my hood with that carbon black crap other day, it didnt turn out like i tht it was so i peeled it off lol.. gonna look into vynl wrap instead lol

 

Flexidip is a terrible item. Goes on like complete crap. If you're going to use anything, use plasti dip. Vinyl wrap would still look the best, but plasti dip is a way better option that flexidip

 

it was worth a shot and never done it before lol... ill do it on my rims where its less noticable haha...
i used one from krylon thats same as rustoleum.... im gonna look to getting it wrapped instead....

 

Haven't done anything to it lately unfortunately. Will be picking it back up Sunday to bring to the shop!

 

daughter's car displaying quite a shake now when the compressor turns on for the a/c. think motor mounts are up next for replacement.

 

dove into the front motor mount today. what a royal pain. everything went fine getting the old one off, which fell apart upon removing the front brace. the bad part.... the mount did not come close to lining up for the thru bolt. I mean not close. it took me lengthening the mounting holes into slots to slide it forward, longer mounting bolts and 5, yep count 'em, five big washers under the mount on either side of the mount to get it to go up high enough into the mounting bracket, close enough for me to put the thru bolt in. I don't know if something is bent in this car or what but it sure did not line up at all for the new mount which was exactly like the one that came out (except in one piece!!). I even stood on the motor to try to push it down but it did not budge a bit. took me forever to get it in and the car still vibrates so there must be another one or two busted.

 

Well, haven't posted on here in a long while. I've done a food amount to the lancer I guess u could say. I added a roof rack with bike rail attachments, but I mostly run the basket attachment. Threw on a new set of rally armor mud flaps that stick out more and are more functional. New vortex generator. Exhaust has been tweaked. Will get videos of it up. Replaced stock horns with hella super tones. Touched up many areas of plastidip. Thinking about relocating light bar. Gonna install fog lights soon. Replacing timing belt and water pump next week. Custom short ram intake was made out of my old k and n typhoon short ram. Looking into making a custom box for that. I'm sure there's more also but tags all I can think of right now.
