any particular reason why you are running such high pressure I would of thought that having them so high is not giving you any flex in the tyre wall and resulting in lots of spin....

the reason why I have mine so low is that it has reduced wheel spin and I am not getting any engine tramping - bounce were the car feels like it is about to fall apart and I also run it that low because the guys who run on slicks and semi race tyres have there's down as low as 11psi

I would love to see your results if you did drop them down to something similar

actually, im still tryin to learn on these wheels and tires. i kinda got to learn all over again. but since the tires have so much grip, i was just bogging off the line. so the remedy to that would be less traction.....i.e. higher pressure. gives enough wheel spin with not much bog off the line. im still playin with them tho.

I know what you mean about learning how to drive I had to put a new clutch in mine because my stock one just was not holding the revs... I currently have Yokohama A539 15's x 205 x 50 on mine and when I first started out we had 26ps in them and my change point was at 6800rpm and the car bogged down so much on the first change that I almost felt like changing back down to first as the revs went from 6800 down to 2200rpm lowered the pressure down to 21psi and held the revvs a little longer in first so that the wheels "caught up with the car " my best 60ft time is 2.39

but good luck with it hope you have a good year with the car and the track

I'm not a drag expert, but someone told me you don't want to go below about 25 psi on "street" tires, but if you have a wrinkle sidewall drag tire (street legal or not) you can go even below 10. Just my .02

oh, sorry.........but yeah, my clutch is gone.......one thing after another, i swear to f*ing god.......lol. im pretty sure its my clutch, two years and 40000 miles on stock clutch with MANY races, i figure its about time for it to go. it wasnt too hot on wednesday, but i couldnt get better than 2.4 60'. traps were kinda low too but i figured it was just cause of the clutch issues i was having. but orderin clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and limited slip from RRM right quick here.

thats bad luck with the clutch but yeah with a bit of racing they tend to do that - have you got the new LSD in the car yet as that is something that I am looking at but it is very expensive here to buy and get fitted so I am having to save a few dollars before I can do it I am guessing that you are going the Cusco 1 way let me know how it all goes and if they changed over the bearings as well or just left them in

My first run was at Bandimere speed way up here in Colorado. I ran a best of 17.1 with a SRI, and a catback. It was the first time I had been on a actual 1/4 track. Rember guy's I'm in the mile high state here so elevation kills N/A 4 bangers here. I also ran a 17.3 and a 17.2. I have a few other mods now, I havn't had a chance to hit the track this summer though. I'm guessing I would hit high to mid 16's up here. probably high though since I'm an inexperienced driver.

I am guessing that you have the new clutch and flywheel in the car by now seeing as that was several months ago have you taken the car to the track since.... I took mine to the track a couple of weeks ago and drove the car like a dog tried 2000rpm launches and got absolutely nowhere it was very frustrating but taking the car again next week and drive a little bit more controlled rather than slaming the accelerator and gears - will try driving the car this time

still can't see anyone with a sub 16. seconds yet or have I missed a post somewhere
