EDIT: I was wrong, look up a few posts and you'll see Rhyzin couldn't get his apart or something. Supa Tek seems to be trying, but he hasn't posted in a while.

Well, I think he couldn't get it because some bolts or screws were frozen on his. I think he was trying to swap TPS between the two and just couldn't get them off. But I am just guessing and I'd rather not re-read this whole thread again.
Ok one more thing about the 93 Manifold before you buy it make sure it has the vacum fittings on it for the Brake booster and the sensor that connects right before the TB on the fron side of the engine. I am learning the hard way the really hard way.!!!

To answer your question, I would not worry about it. You are correct that the 1997 4G93 does not have that little barb there. I dont have it on mine and it was never a problem. I'll PM you a pic of my setup.
How many vacuum sensors do you all have (Lancers) going up to the TB (from the area that is right adjacent to the IM itself)???

We have one sensor that goes to where Livelyjay circled in red which honestly I have no clue what it is also the power broke booster outlet is on the opposite side of the manifold. ike Jason said I just spliced the hose on the left front side of the manifold and put a vaccum T with a line going to the extra sensor and it got rid of my CEL so so far so good I just need to get a barb for the backside mine didnt have one so my power brakes are gone.... Which is very very very very scary especially when you have all of this new power at your foot and you want to puch it so hard..... Besides that I definately noticed a really angry growl from the intake campared to the hum it used to have all in all if you have a complete intake like Jason does its an easy install and very generous gains for the price plus it alwos you to maximize on other mods....
almost on topic...
ok, I have an 02 oz and just found out someone locally is sellin their aftermarket turbo off their 97 mirage...how well do you think it will line up? and I might even find a tb and put that in while Im at it. Thanks
Trying to get a bite on another question.
When you guys ported the manifold how far in the runners did you get or did you just gasket match the ports? It's hard to tell from the photos how far in you were able to get.

however long it takes to get a smooth transition from the ports from the flange to the stock size of the runner. it'd probably be around 1.5-2" like Z_L_M said but since the thing is cast, it might be different for each runner.

I know that stuff is tough enough to patch holes in exhausts
