Quote: So all in all here.... we're stating that: Stock Vs Stock(NonPorted Vs NonPorted), the Mirage 5th gen 1.8 Intake Manifold will increase performance over our stock 4g94 IM? Is that right? Even more when ported(obviously).

Am I missing something. Gotta make sure, cause I'm a few minutes away from ordering mine
I asked the same question a couple pages back and nobody supplied me with an answer.

ok, in plain english... the 5th gen 4g93 1.8L mirage intake manifold is better than our stock intake manifold in all aspects.

opinion: if you're not going to take the effort to port it, you should leave it well enough alone for someone who is. you probably won't feel enough of a gain with it unported, but the gain is there nontheless.

Quote: Rather than modify the accelerator cable why don't you use a cable from the mirage vehicles. That should bolt straight into the car and have the right bracket to suit the manifold.

Yes I was referring to the 4G92 Mivec engines which the DOHC head pattern is different on the intake side to the SOHC engine.s
maybe i'll try the whole throttle cable thing some other time. since it's working, it's not so much important, but i'd ultimately like a clean engine bay.

thank you for the confirmation on the G92 manifold. at lease we don't have to sit around and wonder.

Alright... that's the kind of answer I was looking for

YEs to also confirm stock for stock the 4G93 manifold is a performance upgrade for the 94 engines.

But you must get the throttle body flange on the 4g93 manifold machined out to the same diameter as the 94 throttle body or you will actually go backwards in power. Shoudl take a total of around 1/2 hour to grind / machine out to the same diameter.

To clear up some confusion, and to help me out as well, can one of you guys write up a formalized how-to, with shopping list and tools needed, for the 4G93 swap along with the DSM throttle body swap (actually two seperate how-tos might be better). I think it would help everyone out a lot and clear up confusion since this post has gotten pretty large.
