I hope to have this installed by the beginning of March to catch the last of the cold air at the track.

I hope to get atleast a 16.1 before any official tuning. That would be awesome. I've got to finish what I started.

hey im sure this has been covered before but how do you port out an intake manifold yourself ? like what does it take tools and time wise.

I used a dremel, but it takes a long *** time... So I just took it grabbed $50 and brought it to a local machine shop and had them port it out.

RUn a little search and there is plenty of info but this thread here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...8&page=2&pp=15
got me what I needed.

A tip though, if you go this route get an electric drill because the cordless I bought first was heavy and clumsy to maneuver. I bought a 20 electric black and decker and the job is much easier.

Thanks for the encouragement.

I think I plan to do about 1 hour a day and that should get me set for completion at the end of the month right when I want to get this installed.

Well it took a lot less time than I expected. I put my patience cap on and after 2 and a half more hours today I think I finished it. I think that makes about 5-6 hours total time to port the manifold.

Last 2 pics.

I just need the throttle plate, 2 short bolts and then the hose and clamps I think. Gotta read the thread up for those requirements.

Thank you

I want this thing to work and work well. Might as well spend the time doing it right the first time.

The feeling of accomplishing something on your own is pretty neat. I just wish I had the ***** to change it myself.

Did you smooth out the runners?

What cruise control issue? You mean the cruise control selenoid.
