well, you should take it off and send it to me. You run with the stock FPR for a while and I'll comment on the change that boosted fuel pressure and a bored rail make on driveability and race-day performance We still have 2 weeks before the first official autocross, so if you hurry, you won't have to overnight it to me

As for metrics bolts, Lowes sometimes has it (common size) or not. I usually go to Ace Hardware store . . . they have all sorts of metric bolts from grade 6-10 (very few) to common and uncommon sizes. Unfortunately, they don't have the huge brake caliper bolts . . . had to get them at Pep Boys, and it was like finding a needle in a haystack.

03RallyLancer: the gauge i had was just broken. i'm sure you'd have better luck and get one that wasn't broken. you can order with or without the gauge. you would just have to hook up a gauge every time you wanted to set it. i bought a $25 one from kragen that i hook up whenever i would want to change it. you shouldn't want to change it often.

nothing. It's gonna get dirty from the exhaust recirc. Polishing would help keep it clean but then that would aid laminar flow and would reduce the quality of the air/fuel mix in the chamber.

dude you said it was dirty, not that it was full of aluminum chips.... christ..... anyway, I have a sink in my garage and I first just rinsed it with water to get most of the aluminum out. Then I attached a hose to the faucet and ran the hose through the runners. Then I filled the sink with hot soapy water- I like Dawn, because it takes grease, outta my way. I rinsed the mani a few times in the soapy water, and then emptied the sink. I did this again. The third time I just used regular water. Then I let it air dry.

Ask a smartass question....

here's a boatload of links on how to port damn near anything- happy now?

Rather than modify the accelerator cable why don't you use a cable from the mirage vehicles. That should bolt straight into the car and have the right bracket to suit the manifold.

Yes I was referring to the 4G92 Mivec engines which the DOHC head pattern is different on the intake side to the SOHC engine.s

I think they only moded the mounting plate( or had to fab one) and not the cable

When I ported my Mirage manifold, I cleaned it using brake cleaner and then ran some compressed air throughout the unit. Frankly, I clean most of my sludgy and grimy parts with brake cleaner, unless there is something electrical that would be harmed.

So all in all here.... we're stating that: Stock Vs Stock(NonPorted Vs NonPorted), the Mirage 5th gen 1.8 Intake Manifold will increase performance over our stock 4g94 IM? Is that right? Even more when ported(obviously).

Am I missing something. Gotta make sure, cause I'm a few minutes away from ordering mine
