EVO 8 body kit on Lancer ES 02-03

Hi

I was wondering, if I purchased a evo7/8 body (not oem) is it possible to have it custom fitted on a Lancer ES 02-03 model? I know the evos are 75mm wider.

Has anyone here done this kind of custom work before?

I am planning to fit a evo 7/8 vielside or vader front/rear bar.

Well, I now this has been discussed before...but, if you have enough $$$ anything can be made to work. Alot of custom work will be needed though. Just get ready for it...

if you are going to do that, you might aswell get evo headlights too.... Anything is possible, but it will cost some major $$$$$.

i have been thinking about that too all the covnersions require you to take of the rebar so its nto even worth it. that would look sick with the headligths and everything. if your gonna do alot of custom work do the tailights too.thast my 2 cents

If you like spending $$$ go for it, but I dont see why you dont go wit an evo 7 conversion kit.

Hi Guys
I am back, the reason i want to do this is that there is a front bar for an evo 8 that i like, i know its abit wider then the lancer es.

I like the evo 7 conversion kit, but i cant find one in Australia. The only kits I have seen around australia is Ken-Style and the walker kit.

I was thinking if I purchase side skirts and rear bar for my lancer and the evo 8 front bar (not oem) and have it custom fitted.

here is a link to the picture i am talking about.

Yes ! I am currently doing a full evo 8 swap on my car, so far everything is a direct bolt on for the front end. I really do not like the base lancer look, so i have spent about 2K on everything! I bought my car for 800$ wrecked and fixed it temporaily to drive and save, but it now looks identical to an evo 8. Its just slow as hell. NOT A CHEAP BODY KIT!!!

Hopefully a turbo kit soon. =)

Honestly its not really believable. Why would you post NAKKO's pics on your myspace and call it your own? That guy lives in JP. Until i actually see pics of your car like he did his than i will believe you. And yes everything does bolt up if you use the fenders.

Wow thats sick. Thats exactly what im in the process of doing. and his looks great.

But to the other guy im still only spending 3K on the whole thing and get to look back at it and say....DAM haha =)

But after its all done, i do plan on selling it and getting a real Evolution or getting a volvo s60R. Ill probably go with the Evo but the Volvo would be different.

I dunno man... I wouldn't go there if I were you...

I remember seeing a Lancer on this site not too long ago that was for sale on ebay.
He'd taken the front end of an Evo 8 and slapped it on a Lancer and it looked like absolute sh**
The front fender wells didn't line up so there was a huge gap in the front, it stuck out wider than the rest of the car so that just made it look akward, I just don't think it'll be worth what you spend on it.

just stick to a cf front lip, side skirts and a new non-evo rear bumper. your car will look much better and not cost 3k to look better either

At least they're using the search function. Anyways, if you change the front end, what are you going to do about the rear? You'll have a wider front but a skinny rear, it's like a girl with big breasts but a tiny man butt, it just ruins it. Then you have the issue of wheels and brakes, the wide and aggressive front will look flat out silly without wide rims and bigger brakes. Of course you'd still have drums in the rear so you'd need to change those as well.
