men the conversion is easy what i did was took measurements from an actual evo that my friend has and chaged the front radiator support to fir the bumper and lights and got some evo fenders and slapped everything in the car. here is the broken down price i have to mention i have a shop and i get everything and wholesale price
fenders non capa $50.00 oem
lights from ebay oem $300.00
hood from a wreked evo $100.00
and capa front bumper $200.00
carbon fiber trunk $50.00
and carbon fiber wing $100.00
so for 800 i was able to make this and if you are as crazy as me i had my friend let me put fiver glass on the back of the car to make a mold of the wide 1/4 pannels and fit them to the lancer and there i had an exat replica. so i dont know why people say it cost tons of money to make this conversion happen but shure f you want to pay the money whiout shopping then yeah you will spend up to 700 for the original hid headlights and thats per so take your time and you will make this happen. i do have to tell you that you are going to spend a good amount of time doing this it took me a month to get this done. try doing all the work and ask friends for help i have a shop so i have all the tools but you can always get arroud this if you really want.

I have done this, its not easy, its not cheap. Your prices are BS. nobody sells that cheap, if they did and it was that easy every one would be doing the swap. stop spreading miss information.. You also forgot to include labor and paint ect. If any of the above is correct/true good for you but I'd be weary of any shop owner who cant form a proper sentence or spell basic words.

good story but I highly doubt your insurance is that retarded... your vin would still say lancer and you would of been paying premium coverage on a lancer so your payout would of been for a lancer regardless if it looked like a batmobile, evo or rocketship.

Now if you had said you had your car reappraised and was paying premiums on the appraised value then I could understand.

I agree with this. I know through experience with both base Lancer and Evo parts that many of the components (fenders, control arms) do not line up without extensive modification... I can even tell you that your 'list of parts' is lacking parts to make the front conversion work. It's going to probably take more than the 800 bucks that you claimed to have spent on just labor ALONE, let alone the amount you would have to spend on the parts.

Sorry, but I just don't believe it, even if you did have pics I still wouldn't believe it.

well im the owner of the shop so i didnt have to pay labor for the buld and paint was done from left over paint that i had and all the parts were from either craigslist or ebay so the entire buld for me ended up been 1000. i will be doing a conversion for a customer with build pics and so far in parts im in 500 so this second build will still be cheap like the first one i did the only difference is that i will have to charge labor.
