Is that car seriously being held up in the front by one jack stand?

 

hahah yea i know there is only one in the front i actually got it balanced perfect to where i only need 2 jackstands to hold up the whole car hahahahaha j/k

it is plenty sturdy now, its just temporary for front end work.

 

good to see some progress finally being made to it.so you decided to go with the v6 awd swap? or you still opting for the V8?

 

Yea it will be the awd v6, sorry no V8 since i already have it im saving it for the next car. I will post pictures of the VR4 tomorrow night =) But still plan to have the V6 in my car and running by June 1st. I did a bunch of research on the Vr4 and with the 4 wheel steering and the crazy electronics in the the suspension and decided to. May be able to out maneuver a real EVO, but I guess we will see haha.

 

well you have less 4 weeks left so you better be prepared to put in some long hours and I agree with what the guys say about the jackstand i would suggest using a few building blocks on each side for extra support since you only have 2 jack stands

 

hahaha i think i have 5 jack stands, but only one actual jack. Yea i will get some more under it soon. Im going to need some for the other car though =/ still decided on how to get rid of the vr4 frame. Anyone want it for 100$?

All the parts are for sale besides the drivetrain and wheels.

 

well what was the sense of buying it if the motor is damaged?

 

yea I'm confused... I think your going to be over budget now if you need to rebuild the engine.. With the way the car looks and blown engine its probably worth what you paid if not less.
Hopefully the rest of the drivetrain isn't trashed as well. I wonder how much shaft play the turbos have lol.. Looks like you didn't end up getting the sparcos either like originally planned.

Yea i thought they were sparcos but they are tenzo's and the turbos have absolutely NO shaftplay (they look fairly new?) they clutch is VERY tight and the transmission goes through ever gear like it should(from what i could tell). Rebuild kit and everything will be about 500$ so basically 1300$ for it bought and running, just bought it today and should have the engine ready to pull tomorrow and have someone picking up the seats for 600$ and the bare chassis for 500$ still have a bunch of misc. stuff to pull though.

I am easily making what a bought the car for plus some and getting the whole drivetrain for my car....great buy in my opinion.
