Just so you all know I am well below the 3K budget and you can still look forwrad to a running V8 Lancer by June 1st =)

Sold the Caprice for 2500 and i am looking to only use that money.
Just bought the engine 175$ (You won't believe me if i told you what engine, so i'll post pictures of the engine when done)
Shipping for the engine, tranny, and Rear End 450$
Rear end FREEBIE!!
Tranny 150$
Gas Welder 320$
Metal 150$

Still waiting for the right price on a wiring harness, base front subframe, ecu, wheels.

STILL HAVE ALL MY STOCK DRIVE TRAIN PARTS IF ANYONE WANTS THEM FOR REALLY CHEAP!

So basically you have all the parts but nothing installed, hmmmm.....I'm guessing that's going to be a very optimistic time line and price goal.

A month is plenty of time to install the engine and transmission. Like i said before, i will have a running V8 Lancer not driving, not driving. Although it would be nice to have it driving by then, the rear end will take some time to do it the right way.

No it's being a pessimist haha. Why can't you just appreciate hard work or someone willing to try by hacking up their car and risking the car's life.

No, it's being realistic. You're talking about a project that's never been done before and you want to do it in a ridiculously short amount of time and for a very small amount of money. At the moment all you have in an engine and a car, you haven't actually made any project.

Not happening... simple.

Fact ~Unless you become some master body man/mechanic overnight and work 20 hour days for the next month this is physically not happening. With the amount of R&D and engineering its taking to do my rwd swap its just not possible in that time frame. The front subframe, steering rack and firewall are some of the many major issues your going to have to over come. You talk like you plan to weld up some engine mounts drop the v8 in, wire it up, run the driveshaft to the rear diff, and do who knows what with a rear end not even close to fitting in a lancer...

Have you even considered all the stupid small things that are going to screw you over and delay the build until they are overcome... things like is your tranny speedo and tach sensors electric or cable? if there cable, good luck getting it to work with your electric cluster... If you get lucky and they are both electric, have you figured out the pulse count each sensor puts out? if they are different to what the cluster reads your reading will be way off or not even register..

Also for wiring your going to need to figure that out big time... not sure what you plan to do to get the headlights taillights and interior crap mated to whatever engine harness your using..

Then you got to take into account of all the extra stability control computer crap that the ecu may need to function. I know for a fact the 350z engine goes into limp mode without any of the extra crap they have on cars now a days...

I would love to see you pull it off but its not possible in a month.

Even if you went to a professional shop they would laugh at you if you asked to have this amount of work done in a month... They'd probably say sure, if you got 100 grand and want to rent us out for the month.
