So wait, I read somewhere through this plethora of comments that you can use the Evo IV 4G63 on the Lancer's... is that right?
If I were to do an Evo Swap do I need a whole new Tranny too?

What are the requirements to do this swap, can you tell us, perhaps make a shopping list...? I really wanna understand this, cus Ive heard this and that and yadda yadda yadda, but seeing is believing ...unless youre doin' shrooms.

ok, the shop he got it done at said they can get an evo 4-8 engine to put in the car. They also upgrade the tranny to handle the bigger engine. it costs more to go AWD. the $12000 covered everything needed to get this project done. i would get you the website but i forgot it and dont feel like going back through this thread to find it. i think its somewhere at the beginning, and you can contact them to ask all questions about what was needed i think

naw man.. its not even that.. awd is soo much better in all aspects..swaping an evo engine and not finishing it up with awd.. its like u have 300 hp civic..fwd.. i mean.. its a very nice acomplishment.. but not havign awd and an evo engine is the same as a boosted fwd car.. about tha power loss thing.. if ur making decent power.. its doesnt really make that much of a difrence..besides if its made for it.. power loss would be soo lil u wont feel it.. goin from fwd to awd.. i say awd is far superior.. and its reality..

ok, if you think thats reality, i hate to say it but, that's why i see evos get beat daily by srt4s. yeah evos and subies can launch quicker, but on the highway, awd really isnt that great with it.
