2003 oz yellow lancer, 7000 KM

1 chip on front hood,

Fades like a motherfer, not a single part of my car is the same color, bumper is orangish, trunk is whitish, side skirts are bright yellow (good). front bumper is ford focus yellow

 

2002 Thunder Grey: 3000 miles, 2 months old and it looks like someone sandblasted my hood! Goin to see about the paint they put on these cars. Granted they're not a Mercedes, but there sure as hell not a Kia, Hundai, or Dewoo!!!!!

 

My lancer is black with 5000km - 2800 miles and I have what looks like scuffs on my side skirts on the driver and passenger sides of the car. I know I havent been kicking the side panels with my shoes. Dealer told me they would buff it out but this doesnt help me if it keeps happening again and again...

2002 Silver ES - 15k miles. Larger chips on back bumper and driver's side rear door, smaller chips on hood.

 

My 02 Yellow OZ. Bought it in Jan. 02 and took it back to the Dealer in late Feb. or early Mar. Paint was peeling on the side skirts and there were some bubbles on the front bumper. The dealer gave me a loaner and repainted the side skirts and bumper. No problems since then.

 

2002 metallic silver oz. paint chipping on hood all the way to primer. paint losing its luster.

 

2002 yellow OZ with only 9300 miles....less than 10K miles and the paint is chipping off the driver and passenger sideskirts as well as the OZ emblem on all 4 of the rims....i will get this fixed one way or another, its only been a year, less than 10K miles and this chipping is really going to hurt the resale value. keep us updated so i can print this out and give it to my dealer....

2003 OZ - Thunder Gray 9000 miles. I bought this car in late October, 2003. The hood has chips all along the edge where the grill meets the hood. There are also some swirl marks on the paint on the hood. The chips are all the way to the primer and some spots are beginning to rust.

 

02 OZ, Black...

Orange peel on front bumper. Paint chips all over the hood... (I fixed 12 this spring)

Paint physically coming off the car on the roof and trunk lid. 2 places on the roof about dime sized, and one on the trunk lid.

Mitsu regional rep is looking at it tomorrow... I want the whole damn car repainted...

2002 OZ Lancer, Thunder Grey, 10,000 , Chicago land area, rock chips in front (I realize isnt resposible for rocks) and at the top corners of the trunk lid wher the trunk goes from horozontal to vertical is chipped and rusting from what I beleive to be body flex causing the trunk lid to stike the rear 1/4 panels. washed weekly and waxed 3 times in the last 16 months.

 

Yes, Mitsu IS responsible for rock chips. They're covered by the paint warranty. Sorry, that was OT.

 

02 yellow oz: chips all along side skirts by doors, back bumper has a bunch of specs near the exhaust, and there are a few faded spots of paint(like it wasnt given enough coats) on my front quarter panel.

 

wait, rock chips are covered under warrenty? mine is rusting for gods sakes!

 

looks like all or most of the yellow lancers have problems with fading . . . just to be clear. i started getting the chips on my hood around the 2nd month that i owned the car.
